60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 Ferris (77) Edmonton, Alberta | June 5, 2012 Looking like a large ski lodge, this rustic brewpub is a bit large and touristy for my taste. Everything was just average along with the service and food. Bend is full of great places to go, this one doesn’t have enough to stand out. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 kathouse (33) Nevada | May 28, 2012 Nice looking lodge which is somewhat confusing to get in to due to the roundabout out front. Once inside, the interior is moderately decorated for a lodge. Sign said "Wait to be seated", but no one seated us so we just sat at the bar. The bar was small and cozy. The bartender was nice. The whole place seemed a little cramped because of the fireplace in the middle of the room. We ordered BBQ sliders which were just ok. The beer on the other hand was very good and it was all an excellent price. I’d like to visit again and see what else is on the menu. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 mattbrews (13) Beaverton, Oregon | October 11, 2010 nice big place. beer was okay, not bad, not great. food was pretty good. | 62 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 2/10 VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 10/20 stchloe (23) Portland, Oregon | July 5, 2010 A plus for ambiance because the Ghana v. Uruguay game was on everywhere, a mark against for so many TVs. The service was good because it was right after they opened. The taster tray only included their regular taps, nothing seasonal, boo. The food was okay for being prefrozen and smooshed and mediocre, but for $8 oi. Overall its okay if you find yourself there but I would not choose to go again. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 19Ei8hty (72) Washington | August 3, 2009 Very nice place - picturesque location with a great craftsman style lodge building. Great layout with lots of TV’s and comfy places to relax. Beer was decent, mostly mediocre, but either way it was a great place to hang out after rafting. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 jake65 (94) Williston, North Dakota | May 23, 2007 Nice, newer building in a location that seems out of the way, but isn’t. Sampler was six 6oz for $6. The Jamaican chicken with pineapple salsa was excellent. Service was fast, the only downside was the room gets pretty noisy. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 BrewDad (408) Olympia, | December 20, 2006| Updated October 1, 2008 Had a great time here. They have a ton of beer on tap and the place was jamming on a Fall Saturday night. NCAA football going on the TV’s. The place is very large and can hold a ton of people. They have some really good Pub food. My wife and I had a great time. The service was awesome. They talked the beer very well and I was able to try lots of special new brews that night. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 ABUSEDGOAT (57) California | November 6, 2006| Updated October 1, 2008 I didn’t eat here, but I sampled everything they had at the time. The 6 sampler was about $5 and the guy gave me the other 4 for free as well. Beers were almost all good, but nothing amazing either. Check out the other brewpubs in the area first, but this one was far from bad. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 IndianaRed (15) Boise, Idaho | August 14, 2005| Updated October 1, 2008 Satelite location for the main site in Redmond. Nice interior, lots of wood, moutain lodge-ish I suppose. Service was good, the sandwich I had was tasty and the sampler of the house brews was just OK. I saw only the local products on tap. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 BückDich (215) McCall, Idaho | March 11, 2005| Updated June 17, 2007 A short drive from downtown Bend through a few roundabouts and past the main Deschutes brewery. Nice large wooden place from the outside. Not as big on the inside. They have 2 sets of 8 taps so 16 total, most of which are just duplicated so that they can pour on either side of the bar. Didn’t look at any of the food. Service was average, my water never got emptied. Worth a visit to try the average Cascade Lakes beer if you’re not up for the 18 mile drive up to Redmond. |
