Fairly large place a short walk away from the city center. Good selection, around 10 cask beers. Some local brews available. Wouldn’t consider it a must visit, but not a bad place to stop for a pint if you’re around.
Beautiful alehouse with a large selection of beers of variable distinction. The cask beer is well kept. There seems to be a lack of the very new innovative breweries but that in itself is somehow refreshing.
Big open pub at a handy place to dive off the bus on the way into town. The clientelle was pretty young when we were in there, bordering on the boisterous, I reckon there was a stag party mustering before setting off. Beers were average in quality, but I did get 3 new ratings in there. Worth a look even if it doesn’t blow you away.
Fine selection, friendly atmsophere, nice beer profile for the pub. But both beers sampled were a bit off, the cellarmanship is not totally up to it.

I’m gonna go meh on this one. The bar itself is gorgeous, a bit open room with a large horseshoe bar. The service is fine. The beer list is varied, and changes frequently, and the house pint is cheap and well-kept. But the condition of the beers is pretty spotty here - there’s almost always something off. Worth a visit, but get a taste before you order. Up the road is a great coffee place, Artisan Roasters.
