Very small Shepherd Neame pub in thye heart of Westminster but a bit off the tourist trail so has a quite local and homely feel. However, once the office works down tools in the the early evening it’s likely to be standing room only, with considerable overspill onto the pavement outside. Four Shepherd Name beers on cask. The lager taps are mainly stuff that Shepherd Neame make under license. By no means an essential destination but handy for visitors who are in the area (as many will be) and need to score the Shepherd Neame regular beers.

A dinky little pub with four Shepherd Neame cask ales on draught. The Cask and Glass is tiny – it’s like a doll’s house and would be crowded if there were more than about 20 people there although it does have seats outside on the pavement too. It has bottle glass windows, a low bar, a wrap round leather banquette and a few tables and chairs. There’s a nice old fashioned fireplace with blue and white tiling at one end and there are prints, etchings and political cartoons on the walls. The service is friendly; the chap who seems to be in charge now has been running various pubs in the area for donkey’s years. (Last visited 3 December 2013).

Back Street boozer on a street corner a few hundred yards off Victoria Street. Late 19th C building, small single roomed bar with room to seat no more than 40 or so people. Nice enough building but the beer range does little to inspire. Beers are Shepherd Neame only, usual Spitfire, Kents Best fayre and maybe a sheps seasonal or micro plant beer on cask. On the pricey side £2 for a half of mild at a tied house is a bit of a piss take - at least Dick Turpin wore a mask! Not really worth going to in my opinion unless you are in the area shopping or passing by.

A hole-in-the-wall pub offering four Shepherd Neame cask ales. While the beers are less than exciting, the pub itself is cozy and holds a lot of old character charm, including the owners themselves. Worth a peek.

Tiny pub on Palace Street, a short walk from Buckingham Palace and Victoria rail station. Shepherd Neame ales are well kept and served by reasonably friendly, efficient staff. Pub attracts a mixed clientele and quickly fills to overflowing in the early evenings. Pleasant traditional internal decor and lighting, and the prices are reasonable for the area. Worth a visit.
