My last meal as a truly single man. This place was truly awesome. A great combination of taps and casks that seemed to rotate more quickly than I could keep up! The decor was a bit odd but it was full of cheery locals so I cannot complain. Service was great despite the large crowd. The burgers were good and the fries were great. Prices were a bit steep on the food, but well worth it IMO. A must stop!

Good selection of bottled, keg and cask, decent food menu, unassuming street corner local with a secret

One of the best places in London to have real ales. Good food also (2011).

Great selection of british and international beers, lots of taps (casks and kegs) and an amazing variety of bottles. Who are we kidding, you’re going to visit this place if you are in London and have any sort of interest in craft beer. Be warned though, it can get pretty crowded. We visited on a regular evening during the week and barely managed to find two free chairs at 06:00 pm.

Met here for a trade. Was surprised by the selection and the awesome food. Don’t know why I didn’t come here on my previous visits, but I’ll be back again. Great selection of beers, great, friendly service. Priced very reasonably. Definite must-visit place.

Widest selection I have seen in a bar. Several Thornbridge and Fyne on cask 12 decent keg beers including Mikkeler and literally 100s of bottles from renowned worldwide craft brewers including Alesmith Prices on the high side. But you must pay for quality. Initial selection advice from barman was good including tasters Ambiance nothing special but it was a Tuesday afternoon

Crikey, now I realise I’ve never reviewed this place & I guess most of what needs to be said has been said already. To be honest, as far as pub architecture & character goes, it’s no great shakes - although far better than the dump it used to be under Greene King management. Nonetheless, the atmosphere is often great simply because of the people. But it’s all about the beer really. The cask & keg offerings are always carefully chosen - one of the first UK multi-tap places to resally care about quality - both UK and imports - rather than just the quantity. Of course the quantity, both on draught and in bottle, is pretty impressive too. Although there are plenty more "craft" beer bars than when Cask first opened, the opposition still struggles to keep up. Monthly meet the brewer nights / tap takeovers are a highlight. On the downside, if it weren’t for the beer range, it’s not a place I’d really linger long in at quiet times. And when it’s busy, it can be really busy (and stiflingly hot). So visiting times have to be chosen with some care. Strangely, I’ve never eaten here.

This place has an awesome bottle selection. The draft selection was great and quite diverse. However, they were very heavy on strong stouts, which I found an odd choice for the middle of August. I enjoyed a delicious De Molen, and they had offerings from London microbreweries, Craft brews from the U.K and greater Europe as well. The service was lacking, the bartender was unable to answer most of the questions I asked, and the service was rather cold in attitude (maybe because I’m American, but I would hope not considering beer love in universal) . Looking at other people’s ratings possibly she was just having an off day, we’re all human. Overall, I would definitely revisit this place.
