Great place to grab a burger, rivals any burger joint in the area. Everything I’ve had there has been fantastic! Decent tap list nothing too crazy. Another place I forget about and need to get to more!

Visited on a Saturday for lunch. The place was busy and there was a wait on tables on the main floor, but they told us the bar in the basement had openings. I wasn’t expecting a old, divey bar/bowling alley in the basement, but that is what we found. The beer selection here is pretty limited, craft beer-wise. Mostly Guinness, Stella, Sam Adams, etc., but a couple local beers. So I wouldn’t come here expecting a great beer selection. But the juicy lucy burger I had was delicious and a novel treat. That with the basement bowling alley/dive bar, made for an interesting place.

Ambiance is fantastic, so is the service and price. The food is amazing. The best burger in town. But the craft selection is lacking. However, they do have tall grass cans in the bowling alley. Yeah, burgers and bowling...pretty sweet.

Fact: The Nook makes a Juicy Lucy that kills Matt’s & 5-8. Their fries are also awesome. Also a fact, there isn’t really craft beer here. Maybe one or two things, but the bottom line is you are coming for the burgers. The website lists 20 bottled beers. There are a couple craft beers, but this not a craft beer bar in any way. So while I strongly recommend The Nook for a burger, I do not recommend going there for beer.

Great bar/restaurant on Hamline in St. Paul. Killer burgers (the famous Juicy Nookie). Most of the craft beers are the Irish import variety (Guinness, Smithwick’s, Harp), but they also carry Summit/Finnegans, Sam Adams, Leinenkugels. Just re-opened after having a fire on the premises, so I’m anxious to get back here and check it out again.
