massive joint, with a small (in proportion to liquor/wine) section on beer. belgians and other imports are pretty weak but good focus on american brewers, michigan espically. giant stuffed lions and tigers? got em. kuhnehn? not so much (only the raspberry eisbock) though the brewery is close enough i should have just went there.

Stopped in here after visiting Kuhnhenn. It really is just down the street. It does have a dedicated parking lot. It has a definite warehouse vibe. The beer selection is in the back left corner and along the left side of the store. Several shelves of beer and the mead, which we were here for, actually had an entire shelf. They had a pretty good selection of meads, probably the best variety I have seen, but the harder to find items were not here, like Schramm’s and the smaller batch B. Nektar. At least that I could tell, they did not carry them. I didn’t buy beer, mostly because the distribution in MI is so similar to what I find in Ohio and the trip was focused on mead. Prices were what I expected. Checkout was easy. Whenever I make it back to Kuhnhenn, I’ll check them out too.

Big selection with some of the best prices around. For a while, it was the only place I could consistently find Girardin Black Label... Only 10$ per bottle, too, when most other places were 12-13$. Anything you see here, you’d be hard pressed to find it cheaper anywhere else. I always stop here after a visit to Kuhnhenn just to pick up some cheap goodies.

A huge store with a prominent ’Craft Beer’ sign. Like most big box stores, it is hard to be comfortable here. The sign and ratings had my expectations on the high side and I was let down. Main 6 packs, not a huge selection of singles. Prices were good, but I couldn’t find much I would call interesting. Worth a stop if you are in the neighbourhood, but not a specific trip.

Large store with wine, liquor and beer. Big selection of domestic beers, mostly in 6 packs. Singles are also available but much less. Have almost all michigan craft brews, but not rarities.

Definitely one of the best beer stores in the Detroit area. Prices are better than any other store, I have yet to see anything better. Great selection of beers as well and the staff is very knowledgeable. If you don’t see a beer there you might like, talk to them. Good chance they either have it and it is sold out or they will get it for you.

My favorite local beer store just up the road from Kuhnhenn's. Very nice selection of craft beer. Best in the Detroit area I would think. Prices are the best. They sell beers such as The Bruery Bois for $24.99. I have seen it for $32.99 at another local store. Service is very good also. "The" beer and wine store in metro Detroit.

Large, charming store. Good selection of singles, great great selection of 6-packs and big bottles. I just wish everything was available in singles. Friendly knowledgeable staff, willing to go into the back and find the really great stuff I was looking for. I got a ton of beers from my wishlist here. Good prices. I will happily return any time I’m in the area.

What a beer store for Michigan! I visited on a road trip based on other reviews and was not disappointed. The selection is large and diverse. And importantly to me, a large single bottle selection as well. Its of note that the shelves were neat and well organized as well. The beer side manager, Michael, was friendly, knowledgable, and knew his inventory well.
The one improvement I'd like would be to allow all beers to be purchased individually. I know that can be a nightmare to manage but hey, I can mention it =)
I'll be back and highly recommend this store to others looking for a large selection.
