The premium pub in all Copenhagen for English ales. Constantly rotating selection of casks and kegs and some very good Danish + German beers on tap, notably the divine Aventinus. Unfortunately not covered by anti-smoking act room size standards, Charlie’s remains a horifically hazy den of nasty nicotine at most times, but the magnificent and supremely well-poured beer has kept me a regular for years now. Cut the cigs and the room mightn’t feel so cramped.

Knowledgable and rather friendly staff. They have well treated cask ales and draught Limfjordsporter. The range of cask ales is changing all the time. That is a great thing for raters. In the evenings it is often very crowdy and smoky.

6 place small wood bar with tall wood stools and short rail. 6 hand pull beer engines. Flatscreen TV showing EPL footfall matches. Only a dozen or so seats. Very cozy. Lots of UK expats. Friendly crowd. Mug club mugs. Beer memorabilia on all interior surfaces, photos, handle labels, posters, coasters.

Pretty true British-style pub. Nice range of casks (really, there’s some impressive stuff to be had in here) and decent kegs, too. Pump clips adorn most of the available ceiling and wall space. Good spot. I could happily spend a bit of time in this place.

great pub!! realxed atmosphere, good friendly service and always lots of fun. too damn small though!! It helps that I like real ale very much and the british banter. check out their pub in aalborg if you get a chance, its also great.

As a Londoner now living in Copenhagen I am sure Charlie’s bar will now be my first port of call when ever i am homesick for a good traditional UK cask ale. On my visit last night it was very busy but easy to get served fairly quickly. Great ambience and love the decor with the ale clips hanging from ceiling. The pint of crouch vale amarillo was in perfect condition and the highlight of the evening, even though there was so much else left to try. Great place

Managed to squeeze a visit to this place on my last evening in Copenhagen for the RBESG. Nice selection of UK beers, which understandably I wasn’t there for (but which were impressive nonetheless). A couple Danish micros too. Good service, and the walls are crammed with interesting breweriana.

this is one awesome bar not to be missed unless you live close to some of the best in uk. 6 cask taps with frequently super rare stuff, 12 taps with this and that. Friendly service, chatty customers, but most importantly, from time to time you’ll find uk cask ales here that are rare even in the uk. Rotation is quick so going back 14 days later will get you more rare ticks.

One of the best places in town - but maybe to small. They have a wide sortiment of beers and you can actually taste the beer before you biy it
