Fabulous selection, incredibly helpful staff, and wonderfully fair prices. I spent 40 minutes here and spent over $100 on individual bottles and left with a big smile on my face. They even carried my boxes to my car for me. I will return every time I’m in the D.C. area. Highly recommended.

Really excellent place, especially for DC where good beer is HARD to come by (from Pittsburgh, so I’m spoiled). Clerk was really cool and helpful, important as bottles are crammed in and there’s no discernable ordering principle for the stock. Only complaint is the prices are slightly inflated (World Market in Pentagon Row had better prices on Unibroue beers, but who wants to go to Virginia!).

This is a top notch store, and one of the best I’ve been to, and by far the best in DC. It is right on Conn Ave, which is a major road into and out of the area. Only a dozen or so spots in the back. Excellent service from folks who know their wares. Amazing selection, simply put, with anything you could need, including rarities.

This is one hell of a place. I grew nearby and didn’t know about it until a friend mentioned it to me and I was missing out. The selection is huge and the staff are super knowledgable. If you are looking for something special stop here first. The prices as I recall are not even bad.

Sufficient wine selection, above average liquor selection, but this store truly shines in its beer offerings. There is usually a knowledgeable beer specialist on the floor who can make educated recommendations

What a great store. Worth the trip in heavy Saturday night traffic on a motorcycle no less. Selections of Belgians and Germans is very good. Good selection of cold singles and seven fiddys. I am definatey going back. Real soon

I feel that Chevy Chase Wine and Liqours is the best bottle shop in the D.C. metro area. It was the only one that had a decent (and huge) seleciton of belgian ales. I found everything I needed in one stop. Huge amount of singles from all over the world. I definately enjoyed my experience here, much more so than at other locations around the D.C. area. Best so far.

I’ve probably been going into chevy chase since before I could walk or talk (when my dad was doing the buying) and now when I’m visiting the rents in my old home town I usually pay a visit. so sentimality gets huge points. great selection and friendly people who have probably been there as long as the store. the older guys are the ones to talk to for advice. they gave me lollipops when I was a kid and they still do. but that may only work for kids and girls. take your girlfriend? parking is ok if you don’t mind going around the block a few times. Oh and they have beer tastings - nothing extravagant but every now and then they’ll have a 6 hour window where you can come in and try a few. Ask or note bulletin somewhere near cash register.
