Easily the best bar in the heart of Brussels for lambics, with a pretty nice selection of vintage bottles and always some Cantillons on tap (including the Kriekenlambik, Faro, Oude/Jonge Lambik, and others). Prices are very highly marked up for lots of the bottles, so you’d do better to get many of them elsewhere in Belgium. Food is very good and pretty reasonably priced. Service is solid and the servers know their stuff. Mandatory stop in Brussels - much better than the St Gilles location.

Helt otippat dyker detta ställe upp. Höll nästan på att missa denna pärla. Fet lineup med tap, bla 6 olika cantillon och även ölkällaren är full med trevliga rariteter. Helt ok priser. Kollade aldrig om dom hade mat. Skön musik på lagom ljudnivå. Absolut värt ett besök som ölnörd

Lots of beer on tap, the food is great. However the modern interior kills the ambiance.

Posto molto curato, ambiente un po' "fighetto" ma veramente ben fatto... 40 spine con ospiti da tutta Europa, molto ricercate per altro. Molte lambic con varie "chicche" in bottiglia...

Went there in an afternoon, and it was not packed, so it was cool. Service was good. Selection is pretty good! One of the best beer places in brussels.

Have very mixed feelings about this place. The decore and taplist are superb, really well done. But the waitstaff is very touch-and-go, ranging from super friendly to them pretending you are not there and me feeling guilty for trying to get their attention. I go here once in awhile because they have interesting Italian, Swiss and French beers that are not available to me anywhere else.

Update April 2013: Used to go there a lot, but the last few times, I could not really find the old atmosphere. Last time, I sat at the bar for god knows how long before I was acknowledged, all the while the guy played with the music and another staff was outside smoking. I’d meet some of the other comments and agree that some of the service is not where it used to be, (even in French) depending of who is serving you. I loved some of the old staff that unfortunately are no longer there, and who really loved the beer scene and added a welcoming feel of why I kept going back to ML. As for the rest, beers and rotation still great.

Updated version June 2012: Constantly changing menu with many things coming along in terms of festivals and bringing to Belgian top quality craft beers from around Europe and North America. Updated version: Sept 2011. Amazing Cantillon draft list, 40 taps with plenty of rotation, guest beers, hard to get Italian beers, special events showcasing many small micro brews. Great ambiance, usually on the quiet side inside, modern music or classical timeless Belgian hits. Lots of bottles to chose from, many rarities that the price tag does not warrant. Service and beer presentation were top notch. Very professional and friendly staff, never have a problem finding a few minutes to chat. Food fare was tasty yet simple, from Cantillon sausages to gueuze paté with cheese plate and pain campagnard. Price for the lambics and all the draft selection is more than reasonable considering how hard some of the beers are to get, and the fact that you are getting high quality artisanal beers.

in summer you can sit outside on the terras. nice collection of Geuze beers and others but quite expensive. The waiters only speak french , but i’m used to it in Brussels :(

Well it is a great place if only for their lambic and gueze selection on cask. The other taps we nothing special and the bottle list was priced for kings and oligarchs. The wait staff varied from good to ambivalent. I also saw a lot of really bad pours going out as well. I had a cheese plate on a previous visit which was OK but expensive for what it was. Plan on eating before you go as they are very limited in that department.

Un must per chi va a Bruxelles alla ricerca di birre di un certo livello. La scelta è ampissima e copre praticamente tutti i gusti. Buoni anche i taglieri di accompagnamento per le birre. Occhio che nel weekend di sera non si riesce a trovare posto.
