Out of the city’s center the best bar/pub I visited in Brussels during my two nights stay there! Small cozy place, great ambiance, nice music playing, very good service and very good beer selection. We had some dry sausage and their own made cheese, both were very good. Prices were good too. I visited it on Friday night before Zwanze 2015 to buy a ticket and then I came back on Saturday night for Zwanze day. It became crowded for 15 minutes and then back to normal.

Nice little bar with more "authentic" look than the one in Brussels Center. Selection is nice and I liked the way it was displayed. But we didn’t really get the time to go over it because the bartender came abruptly to ask us what we’d like. Although I made pretty clear I was going to take my time to pick he came back 3x asking and trying to convince us that He could find us the beer we were looking for and sounding kind of pretentious. (he finally gave my gf a beer without us really giving him the go-ahead. I went for the 6’th choice I had make because of storage shortage in a lot of foreign beer still on display (the display were detachable so it made little sense to have it hang up there anyway). Beer were good, atmosphere also, food looked nice and not to pricy.

Much cosier and laid back than its Fontinas sister, the draught range is about half the amount and bottle list shorter but still has plenty to be going at. Soem comfy tables and again a few outsude tables. Single member of staff on and doing brisk service. Nice stroll in to town with plenty of other places en route.

A nice outside terrace and a cozy bar inside. Quite small but this gives the staff more time to interact with customers. For me this makes it much more welcoming to someone on their own than the newer main branch. No menu beyond the chalk boards up on the wall which list tons of goodies on draft and in bottles that scratch the surface of what the cellars hold. They were kind enough to show me the cellar where they told me they’ll be a massive renovation where the restrooms on the first floor will be ripped out and a new entrance to the cellar installed which will become a bar/dinning area where they plan to have brunch. During this time it’ll be closed for 3 weeks. So if you’re coming in Sept/Oct 2015 call ahead.

Not as sheer brilliant as it’s bigger and newer sister at Fontainas, but still a very cosy, really nice bar with a beer list that puts most bars to shame. Deep, deep shame. Relatively reasonable prices, and everything is well annotated at a myriad of blackboards and signs. Outside seating. Lovely place.

I have probably more than a hundred time to the Fontainas location but I finally made it out to this one. Thanks for the ride AdamChandler. Out of the city center, finding a parking spot was near impossible for the driver. Quite small but very cozy. Selection is similar to the new location but smaller. Noting in the way of ticks for me but a world class selection. Prices were okay considering the quality. The thing that really drew me to this place is the amazing cozy selection, were warm & lovely, a real neighborhood bar, touch hipster but just perfect to drink spectacular beers. I wish this was near where I live so that I could be here all of the time. It is similar to the Fontainas location but just so much more cozy & neighborhood like. The selection is just so perfect as is the atmosphere.

My rating of this place is based on one casual visit on a Sunday afternoon during the Ascension weekend. We found the remaining available table outside and noticed quickly that there was a single overworked waitress on duty. I walked to the bar in an attempt to get an overview of all the beers available and with the hope of possibly finding an extended bottle menu with all the vintage beers I was hoping to find and pay dearly for here. In the end I probably ended up stressing the poor waitress, who became acutely aware of my desire to get a beer but having to serve all the other tables waiting for service first. Anyway I ended up getting a few good beers this way but upon asking whether they kept any vintage beer I was told they didn’t really do that and Kulminator in Antwerp was really the place to go to for this kind of experience. So I came away from this place with the impression that it’s more of a casual everyday place with a solid standard and rotating selection on tap not entirely unlike Danish beer bars such as Ørsted Ølbar and Søernes Ølbar. This impression may be wrong and unjust but it’s a bit hard to get a different impression when there is not enough staff at hand to really have the time to give you the low down on what is available. Nice and cosy place but I guess they expect you to do your homework and download their beer menu from the website before visiting if you want to try any of the fancy vintage stuff... I hope to come back another day with a more dedicated beer geek focus..
