A cosy corner pub with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and a fantastic range of beers. Great for Cantillon, but also for other many other fantastic breweries. A bit more difficult to find than their other pub, but it’s well worth the effort.

Very nice place and selection, I prefer St Gilles than Fontainas for ambiance.

The smaller of the two locations and located a bit south of the center of the city. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Good beers on tap and a pretty extensive bottle list, but they are out of a lot of things on the list. Definitely worth a stop.

Went there on a warm summer night, so we sat outside. Lovely neighbourhood, something you don’t always have in Brussels. Selection is similar to the Fontainas place. Service is friendly as well. Prices are expensive though... You would think the Fontainas is a little more expensive because of the location, but it isn’t and that’s weird. Overall this is a great beer place though! If you’re coming from the city centre, by bike, you’d better be prepared, it’s quite a long uphill ride!
TO EVERYONE VISITING BRUSSELS, give me a heads up, I’d love to trade/share some bottles!

We went to Saint-Gilles before we visited the Fontainas location, and the contrast between the two was interesting. This location is much smaller; space is limited, and the bar has seating for maybe five. If you get in, however, the selection - particularly of bottles - is outstanding.
There’s only one beer menu, though, so plan your beers out while you have it.
For all that it’s small, the location is well worth visiting, even if you’ve been to Fontainas. Great beer bar.

Sans doute un de mes bars préférés. j’y adore le choix de bières proposées ainsi que l’ambiance très conviviale ! A ne pas manquer quand on est de passage sur bruxelles !!!!

Revisited Feb 22, 2012.
Much better feel, no blasting music, nice friendly service, rotating taps, drink local and get a DeLa Senne.
Finally made it to ML in St-Gilles, working in Etterbeek being only a stone’s throw away.
A more classical Belgian looking bar than its more modern Fontainas location which is not a bad thing.
Interior is clean with heavy wooden benches/tables and a good deal of classic Belgian comic books to keep oneself busy.
Beer selection is a little different than Fontainas, less draft, more bottles but the quality still shines and they are definitely supporting the Brussels breweries; Senne and Cantillon.
I was not too fond of the atmosphere, whoever was working - or at least playing DJ before his shift - kept pumping out this loud French-Belgian gangsta techno-rap that I think has no room in an establishment such as ML. Or maybe I just have shitty music tastes.
The other guy was not really busy, but his mind looked to be elsewhere and after asking him three times for the bottle selection he finally remembered me. Maybe a bad day, or maybe a day when the manager was not around. Too bad, because I really enjoy the quaint surroundings and the neighborhood.

St Gilles has a smaller, more personal ambiance than the Fontainas location. The service is decent, though impersonal. The selection is very strong, well curated. The value’s decent for draft beers and some bottles, though the prices for some of the rare sours will make your eyes water. I didn’t try the food, but it looked tasty. Overall, a great place.

I have visited this cozy bar several times over the past 10 years. It’s a great place to have a few good Belgians, but it’s off the beaten path. The barkeeps are quite friendly and helpful, unless the bar is very busy. The selection is outstanding, although it may be declining slightly, since the original owner sold the bar a year or so ago to invest in a new location called Delirium (better selection, but less ambience).
