Visited here with sebletitje. Cool, the original Moeder that has a much smaller space and smaller tap list. But where it comes up short there it shines in character and a welcoming neighborhood pub feel. The furniture is well worn and silky smooth and is just large tree trunks that have been sliced about maybe three times to make the table tops. The chairs/benches are made in the same way. Pretty neat. I like how they offer up newer stuff and brews from up and coming brewers to keep things interesting and maintaining a local vibe. This isn’t a place worth skipping a trip to Cantillon to see but it is worth seeking out sooner or later.

Went there on a warm summer night, so we sat outside. Lovely neighbourhood, something you don’t always have in Brussels. Selection is similar to the Fontainas place. Service is friendly as well. Prices are expensive though... You would think the Fontainas is a little more expensive because of the location, but it isn’t and that’s weird. Overall this is a great beer place though! If you’re coming from the city centre, by bike, you’d better be prepared, it’s quite a long uphill ride!
TO EVERYONE VISITING BRUSSELS, give me a heads up, I’d love to trade/share some bottles!

Small, cozy bar abit out of the center of town, but easy reachable with tram 3 or 4 to Albert station, and then a short 5 minutes walk. Good taplist, about 15 taps, good varity of beers served in good quality. Good bottlelist aswell. A little pricy, but not that bad. Good service who spoke a fine english. A good visit, but i slightly prefer the Fontaines location to this.

Great beer bar a bit away from the touristy part of Brussels. We had previously visited the other Chez Moeder location. This one has a smaller but equally great selection with rotating taps. We had the cheese and sausage plate that is served with bread. Well worth visiting.

Visited while in Brussels. Sister location of Moeder Lambic in Fontainis location. This a lot smaller location that is more of your neighborhood bar. Service was great with such a small bar. They had about 10 beers on tap but an extensive bottle selection like at their other location. We were able to try a couple of Cantillon classics and were able to take home some rare one off lambics to share with friends back home. Overall, another great bar, maybe not quite as great at their sister location but if you live in this neighborhood would be a great day to day bar to have. Would recommend visiting it and the other location while in Brussels.

The more quaint and cozy of the two environments, and more suited for a full night’s enjoyment. Saint Gilles has fewer taps and a much deeper bottle list, with equivalently fair prices, although the list could never quite be described as fully accurate. The staff is sharp and conscientious, and I appreciated how quickly they discerned that I had no desire for suggestions (and remembered this on subsequent visits). We loved the broad selection of excellent cheeses to accompany our drinks. I would take this location, all factors considered equally.

Ok, I visited a lot of beer places in Belgium. I have to say this one may have been my favorite. Located in a section of Brussels that overlooked beautiful buildings, I couldn’t help but think that sitting here on a beautiful day on a table on the sidewalk overlooking such stunning architecture and enjoying a cold beer was a situation where it really couldn’t get much better. The tap list was expansive and I was very happy with my choices. Service was quick and knowledgeable.

A wonderful true gem at Saint-Gilles, Brussels. 3rd time here. Smaller than his little brother in Fontainas place but with more holy beer spirit. Glad to taste a Cantillon lambic reading a cartoon, on this wooden bench surrounded by people chatting and drinking. Selection of belgian beers is outstanding : tap, bottles. Good service and value. Overall, a great moment. Would have been perfect if I could taste my beer on the terrace without this cloudy smoke but hey, that’s part of the game !

The older brother of Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Really cozy neighborhood bar on a corner in St-Gilles. I really like the atmosphere in this place, it is small and a bit cramped, with less selection than Fontainas but it has a great authentic vibe. Same care is put into the selection as at Fontainas, lots of beautiful lambics on tap and great bottles of vintage stuff. Food is cheese and meats, they are pricey but very high quality and worth tasting (don’t count on it as a meal though). Another great place, slightly more difficult to get to than Fontainas.

Nice cosy little place in Saint-Gilles. Knowledgeable staff. Pretty good selection with a ton of good bottles. Tap selection is smaller (10 taps), but the quality is there (there was 3 Cantillon lambics on tap + some De la Senne both time I went). The boards aren’t up to date though, which can be a little frustrating. Price are good for Brussels area. Overall, this is a really nice place that is worth a visit and I would definitely be a regular if it was near my home. Updated: We had a chance to have a tasting in Moeder Lambic cellar and I have to add +1 for the ambiance as it was a magical moment. Great place!
