I just had my first, brief visit at this place while waiting for my train to Copenhagen and I have to say I was impressed. Positively cosy atmosphere located in a historical building in an old, narrow backstreet off the main shopping street in the city centre. I visited the place at 17 in on a Saturday and while the place was busy there was still plenty of comfortable seating avilable and despite plenty of conversation there was no noise. The barman had time to chat and offer samples and advice on what to try. He definitely seemed knowledgeable and the selection was large enough to offer me several interesting beers that I’d want to try. I only had fifteen minutes for my visit but I will make a point of visiting this place every time I find myself in Odense. Prices are a bit high - 6€ for a small draught beer - but it seems to be worth it.
The place to go if you want to go to a bar in Odense, but the selection is pretty much the same all the time, not much renewel. Friendly staff. Unfortunately some of the tapped beers has this buttery smell and taste. It’s pretty often actually.
A nice place with a very nice staff, who always has been ready to talk friendly to customers. Lots of beer on tap and often some newones you sometimes never have heard about ex. Bullerup. Cosy room with wooden furniture. A good place for people!
Serious little joint in the middle of Odense, really in the very midst of the town, cosy alleyway. " casked beer on weekends, about 14 taps and 20 bottled beers makes it a smmal, but selective selection. On a weekday, the air was nice and fresh and the tender had time for a chat too. The 24 whiskeys/whiskys also makes it worth a visit. Rusic bar, stone slaps on the floor and intact old surrounding all over. Diden´t enter the restaurant upstairs.
I’ve frequented the place for quite some years and it’s going as strong as ever! Last time I visited I enjoyed two world premieres - albeit both Danish draught beers - in one evening! Quite an experience for such a laid-back comfy pub. Look out for the Pale Ale Festival recurring every spring - a must-see for these parts of Denmark!
