Not a bad little bar, but it is very small. Luckily it was not crowded when we got there. Ok selection of beer and not just Belgian choices which seems to be a theme in San Francisco. Bartender is not afraid to share her opinions of what you are ordering, so be warned.

Small dive bar, some nice bottles, some decent beers. very hipster. I didnít really enjoy it too much though.

I stopped in on a Monday, pretty dead. The tap list was small and not very impressive. The beer was way too cold, made my teeth hurt.

Visited several times over the last two years, once during SF Beer Week and once another random time.

Very neat little bar hidden in an unsuspecting neighborhood. No name visible outside, just look for the key hanging above the door. There are a couple tables and a bar downstairs hidden below the loft. Upstairs are more tables and the bathrooms.

They dont have a ton of taps (more than 6 for sure, need to update the page here) but they do have a few interesting taps. They also have a decent bottle list. The food is OK, mostly just snack food. I ordered a sausage and it was delivered on a cutting board with some bread. Will return some day.

Great bar tucked away in North Beach. Decent beer selection and friendly barmaid. Downstairs bar plus an upstairs area. A DJ spins soul in the bar on Wednesdays. Had a Pacific Brewing Imperial IPA

A small, easily missed spot just far enough away from the touristy part of San Francisco that you arenít overwhelmed with tourists, but arenít getting disapproving stares from regulars either. Dark, but very intimate surroundings. The downstairs, bar portion almost forces social interaction because of how proximal everyone is to each other--including the bar keep. Speaking of the bar keep, he is most likely on some type of speed. I wonít venture to guess whether itís cocaine or meth, but he probably does indulge in one or both. While he is not necessarily off-putting, he does wait on you with a contempt and condescension that is usual in places that specialize in artisan beers. His beer knowledge is not nearly as vast as he would have you believe, which causes more educated patrons to look over some of his narcissistic features. The beer menu is decent. It is categorized by style, which is helpful. The upstairs is less intimate, but you almost get the sense that youíre doing something wrong by being up there. Decent place to visit for two or three beers, but I find myself wanting to leave pretty soon after arriving.

Stopped in here for a quick pint one day. This is a nice place that seems to cater to the local crowd rather than beer geeks. The atmosphere is very laid back and inviting. The space is somewhat small but comfortable. The tap list was okay, nothing really all that special although I got a German pilsner that I donít recall seeing in the bay area before. At least not on tap. They have a a pretty extensive bottle list as well. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. Overall, this is a great neighborhood bar with a local vibe but I wouldnít really go out of my way to come here again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place...not so much in the selection nor their aggressive mark-ups, especially on bottles, but more with the small, quint, cozy atmosphere of the place, the attentive & kind service, and just the relaxing nature. Very small, somewhat darkly lit yet not overly so...about 10 or so decent taps, nothing overly exciting yet still quite eclectic for such a small amount. The bottle list was decent in size, not as eclectic but still offering at least a few interesting options, but to me I found most offerings well over priced. That all being said, if I lived in the area and repeated visits didnít give rise to any other negative attributes of the place, I could certainly see this place being on my regular rotation.

Awesome bottle list and tap list changes often. Not enough seating. Great place for small group.

A true little gem. Very eclectic tap list that definitely didnít focus on Belgians - much more American micros, but just random and rare stuff. Cool laid back vibe, great staff, great bottle list. I had a blast here and got drunk. Very much worth the trip, even when comparing to other awesome SF bars.
