An amazing bar. New and hard to find beers on tap. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great food. You have to stop here if you like craft beer and good food.

Decided to stop in after Lost Abbey since it was pretty close by, have always heard great things about this place so I was pretty psyched to check it out. It definitely has the english pub feel but with a more modern take. Atmosphere was solid. Lots of people all over the place enjoying themselves. Guys beside us were enjoying the USA hockey game from two days before, apparently oblivious to that fact. Quality was great. Food and beer were top notch and the furnishings were more than adequate, loved the dedicated darts area as most places donít leave you enough room. Service was fine. I didnít have to wait for a beer and our food came out quickly. Selection was awesome. Only a handful of the 50 or so taps were kicked and they had plenty of local offerings which is always nice to see. I totally forgot to look at the bottle list, wish I could go back and check it out. As far as food goes, we werenít super hungry so we just got an order of their loaded fries which were quite good. Prices were a bit high on certain items but nothing over the top. Overall an awesome pub, I would definitely be a regular here if I lived in the area.

I wish it were more woody inside - as is, feels like some weird amalgam of Big Wangís and a log cabin. But you canít argue with the pub grub and the maximal closing time. Beer selection is routinely solid - great mix of locals, West Coast stuff up to Seattle.

The atmosphere and the food menu are not me, but the service was the best Iíve ever had at any beer bar ever. Multiple extremely attentive servers kept on top of us and chatted us up, even though we obviously werenít locals and even mentioned we werenít going to be back any time soon since we were out of state. Love the 4 ounce taster option. I was also really, really impressed with the prices in the bottle list, they werenít marked up that much higher than local beer stores, which was impressive.

Visited a number of times since 2008, with the first being during RBSG 2008.
Cool place with a very eclectic tap selection and a good bottle list. Priced accordingly of course. Service is good and theyíre used to beer nerds asking for samples and half pours. Theyíre going for the English pub feeling, which I guess they achieved, who knows as I havent been to a pub in England outside of the airport. Food is pretty good.
Check out their festivals, they put on some good stuff, but be prepared to wait in line outside when it gets busy. I will never go for Churchills Finest Hour bottles as Iím not interested in waiting 6 hours in line for bottles (or cutting in front of 200 people).

Visited later on a Tuesday evening, and found the place quite easily along San Marcos Blvd. Plenty of parking on the street or in the lot. The interior of the place is a but run down, with the bar to the left and the restaurant seating to the right. The large bar was surrounded by darts on one side, pool table on the other, and table seating scattered about. Tons of great beer on draft, and an impressive bottle selection. They had several lower ABV beers, which I really appreciated. Service was efficient, and in no way friendly. Customers seemed to be on the younger side, and were pretty raucous considering it was a Tuesday. All beers are offered as 4 ounce samples, which is very cool. Overall, I really loved the selection, but wasnít really comfortable. I think this would have been more fun with a group than flying solo.
