Attended a cask event here, which was an absolute blast. Great crowd, great staff, and they even had food. Joey and Wayne spent lots of time with us and opened quite a few interesting beers. I plan to go back every time Iím in Tampa.

This IS the complete and total package. When the taproom opens the angels will drink here. The business run with the highest level of professionalism and genuine love of brewing. And it shows: the beers are sublime, along the same level of sophistication as Lost Abbey. Cigar City is putting FL on the beer map but at the same time could be in California and stand up for itself. I canít wait to try all the beers in the lineup.

(Visited 06/2011): The brewery/Tap Room is in Tampa on Spruce Street not too far from the airport. The building has a private lot right out front. The exterior is honestly not much to look at, as it is a fairly non-descript box building. The interior is warmer looking, with a bar on the left side that offers a view of a large board listing the available beers. There is a cooler on the right side holding their to-go selection. Speaking of selection, Cigar Cityís is very good. On my visit there were around 15-16 of their beers on draught, including Patio Tools, 110K+OT Batch #4, Guava Grove, White Oak Jai Alai and Cubano-Style Espresso Brown Ale. All of the beers are well-executed, even the ones that donít quite work. Samplers are available too which is helpful. The bottled selection includes both 6-packs and 750mL options. Service on a slow weekday post-lunch afternoon. The bartender was well-versed in their beers and was friendly and attentive during our stay. The brewery offers tours several days a week. Cigar City does not offer food. Overall this is a great beer destination in Tampa, and in Florida in general for that matter.

June 2010 -- Visited on a Thursday mid-afternoon. This place has managed to add a groovy little tasting room space alongside a nice little industrial brewery. Expecting good stuff based on reputation, we were not disappointed, with several unique and quality beers on tap, and a couple available to take home in bottles (or any of the tap offerings in small bottles, too). Wish I couldíve spent more time here, to be sure. (Brewery #516)

Nice huge and comfortable tap room. Service was iffy depending on who you were dealing with and went from pleasant to surly. This place is too popular to have much individual attention, so I would go as early as possible if you want some. Tour is fun and more personal than expected. Lots of beers on tap including a couple of guest taps.

Really good service, to take time out of a busy day to hang out with some out-of-town beer geeks. The beers are fantastic. Not much else to say, but they will have a tap room so Iím excited about that. A must visit, and when the tap room is ready (itíll be a while) it will be THE complete and total shit.

Always a fun time at CCB. They hold release parties, festivals, so itís hard to rate this place not taking special occasions into account. Clearly the best brewery in Florida right now with, thank the lord, a wet zone so you can have beers on premise. Tap list rotates quite quickly with something new on every week it seems. Loads of special Pilot batch stuff, special releases, guest taps from other Florida microbreweries. Joey and Wayne are both cool guys though very busy. Bar staff can be in crappy moods occasionally but on quieter days you can have some great conversations. Prices are pretty high during festivals but reasonable on normal days. There are take away bottles as well. It used to be everyone hung out inside the brewery, now there is a sectioned off true bar with tables etc. Very fun place to visit and right in the smack middle of cool stuff to do in Tampa. Definitely jaunt over to Alessi Bakery not far away for the best Cuban sandwiches in the US (not a joke). I would rate Alessi 100/100 if it were eligible for RateBeer places. Also stop by Rollin Oats market a block from Alessi to check out some CCB bottles. You can also go over to Whole Foods or Total Wine and More right behind Cigar City to pick up CCB bottles that might not be for sale on premise. Sometimes the beers at Whole Foods and Total Wine are actually $1 less than on premise.

Though in a warehouse, this place is very well laid out. Itís got a growler bar at the front near all the merchandise and a bigger bar with tables at the back for tasting. There were at least a dozen taps with three quality guest taps spanning a good selection of styles. The bartender was knowledgeable and very helpful. I was hear on a Tuesday afternoon and there were plenty of people milling about discussing good beer. This is a really cool place.

An excellent spot to try, of course, the latest and fresh CC beers. Growler fills. A short walk to the Whole Foods where more bottles are available. Very good service. Although the tour was cut short, the tower of barrels to come was most impressive. Easy to get to in Tampa.

Visited before & during RBWG. Large, functional space with a couple of bars (one for growlers & quick service, the other for specialties). Ample parking options including an overflow lot across the street. Chill, relaxed vibes despite it clearly being a very popular place. I visited at 3pm on a workday and didnít exactly have a lot of seats to choose from. There were a few cool Floridian flourishes such as a small station selling hand-rolled cigars. Thereís plenty of beer available, probably 30 or so, many of them one-offs and treatments of their core offerings. No foodís available on site, but it looks like food truck service is common. Prices are solid and flights and tasters are available. In addition to the normal customer experience, the staff were nice enough to host a private tour and mini-tasting of their beers. It was a nice gesture that the group appreciated greatly. A bucket list stop for any beer enthusiast. Strongly recommended.
