I visited the taproom the day before Hunahpuís Day and on HD. They had some unique offerings on tap the night before... you should always be able to find something on tap that is draft only and very hard to find elsewhere. They also sell bottles and growlers (32oz and 1 Gallon) to go... not everything is available for growler fills. They offer a sampler to try 4 different beers. Nice taproom / bar atmosphere with a dart board, some tables and chairs. You can buy merchandise as well. I love CCB and as far as a on location brewery taproom, they have done it right!

So Iíve been to Cigar City a few times, and I love it, but the tap room could be considerably better... In a few ways, many times their taps available to fill growlers are only Maduro and Jai Alai, If Iím going to make the trek out to Tampa I want to come back with a Growler of something special. Too often I drive all the way out there to make a trip to Whole Foods for their bottles. Other than that... Great Bartenders, Great Beer, usually not a crowd. If only it wasnít 4 hours away.

In Florida for the Hunaphu release, got to visit this place the day before and for the release. The brewery is located in a huge whare house on a slowish street, close to hotels for the release, about a half mile away from a strip mall area... The brewery itself, is much bigger than I imagined being a mostly local brewery. The bar area itself is a bit small, but intimate. There about 6 tables, or you can take a seat at the bar. A chalk board menu shows what drafts are on tap, 6-8 beers, then have a a couple guest taps. Whatís really cool is that you can buy bottles to go directly from them. They offer a 4 sample for a very reasonable price, you can choose any four beers that you want. Iíd give the pub itself probably an A- due to size. However, the release itself was excellent. It was run exceedingly well. Wasnít too big, they had 5 different places to get beer so the lines never were too long. They had tons of special variants of their own beers and the guest taps were great. They had Three Floyds and Founders, which isnít much to a Chicago native, but since the later doesnít get distributed here quite a treat. The event was an A+, reminds me a slightly small more efficient Darkness Day.
Iíd gladly go back to CCB and Hunaphu release.

Nice space. Brewery is like most warehouse breweries but its clear they do alot here. This is a growing brewery! Tasting room is tastefully done and a nice place to hang out and drink. Service is friendly even on busy festival days.

Man do I love Cigar City tasting room. The vibe is relaxed and comfortable and you always can find a friendly face to crank up a conversation with. The bartenders are friendly, responsive and knowledgable.
Always a great selection of the freshest beers, with the ever present Jai Alai, Jose Marti and Madura Brown augmented by newer brewings or variations on the standards like Cubano Expresso, White Oak Jai Alai etc. They also have guest taps dedicated to Florida breweries like St. Somewhere, Swamp Head and Fl. Brewing.

I would say this was the most enjoyable beer place I have ever beer. The only thing I would change if for them to offer food, maybe just burgers and chicken or something just simple and that they have more taps of their beers. I wanted to try more. When I was there I believe only 6 or 7 beers of theirs were currently tapped and they also had swamp ape. But the bartender was very nice and I really enjoyed all the beers of that tried, I believe I have a new favorite now too.

Flew down from NYC with my buddy to Tampa literally just to visit Cigar City. The brewery is conveniently only a 5 minute drive from the airport. Typical warehouse-style building with a bar. The staff was friendly and eager to give us a tour of the place. They have a standard amount of their own beers on draft as well as a couple of guest taps. They offer some of their beers to-go in bottles as well as growlers. Unfortunately, you can only leave with growlers of the standard stuff - Jai Alai and Maduro (I was begging the bar-tender to let us get a Humidor growler... no luck). Nice atmosphere and good music (Neutral Milk Hotel!) No Food.

Went here with James, Maggi, and Geoff before heading to Anna Maria for the weekend. Warehouse on the outside. Inside has tasting room and to the left the brewery operations. Very nice to be given a free private tour of the brewery. Growler service available, friendly staff, nice chill atmosphere, and world class beer.
