The Cigar City Brewpub is located in the Northdale area of Tampa and is right off of Dale Mabry going north. It’s easily visible from the street. The place itself is very well done with awesome ambiance- every niche is decorated with touches from Cigar City’s past and present. Beer light chandeliers, barrel lights, and cans everywhere, but not tacky at all. The beer is made on site or at CCB along with other Florida breweries on tap and some local-themed cocktails. The food is inspired; Cuban food with a Tampa twist and all locally sourced, if it’s available. I was impressed with the food and beer pairings and the Hunahpu brownie and plantain tater tots are not to be missed. Outstanding place, one of the best in Florida.

Nice location way up North Tampa. I was just expecting a bit more of the Cuban-Florida flair especially since that’s what CCB prides itself upon. Regardless, the overall atmosphere is nice. Place was extremely quiet during the whole 3 hours I was there.
Food was nice, spicy Yuca good, not a real fan of what seemed to be spicy wing sauce that they use. Oyster Po’Boy was outstanding. Only pet peeve in the menu pertains to the local Tampa offerings such as empanadas and Cuban sandwich that are priced way higher than what these Tampa staple street foods go for. All the beers are solid and offer enough variety to please all palates.
Very friendly service at the bar.

Went on a slow lunch hour on 16 March 2015. The sandwich I had was very good and my friends enjoyed their food as well. The bartender was talkative (mainly because he only had three other people to wait on) The beers were kind of average with one standout. They do have exclusive beers brewed here that the main brewery does not offer which is the main reason we stopped in. Also lots of flat screens hanging around so it is a spot to catch a sporting event if in the area. I would return here.

Suburban strip mall parking lot location in a standalone polished building. Central bar area surrounded by inside seating with a small outdoor patio area for the cigar smokers. Televisions everywhere. Good mix of beer on tap but I found the Belgo-French styles lacking, but thankfully they were pouring a robust porter from cask, which was in superb shape. Interesting and varied food menu though prices are high. Service was typical Florida standoffish ambivalence.

My 1st stop on my Tampa vacation. Kids loved it and want to go back ... bonus. Great service and decent amount of beers on tap. As luck would have it, Brewer’s Bunch on tap, so bonus points.

Up scale brewpub place. 4 flight sampler available. Food high priced brewpub chow. Server was good but failed to notice I had made a selection that was out of stock. Pulled a choice out of my hat that was something I had already had. Selection was good and beer quality was first rate. High end and classy.

Visited during RBWG 2015. I loved this place. Yes, the beer is great, the selection quite good. But above that, I had one of the best burgers of my life here. If you like burgers and you visit this place, get the burger. The service was good, the ambiance clean-cut but still fairly low key. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited during RBWG 2015 for the welcome dinner. Generic brewpub feel. Service was okay, friendly but a bit slow and forgetful. Selection was a mix of brewpub and main brewery offerings, nothing too out of the ordinary. Food was tasty, a bit expensive. Water tasted like gasoline. Worth a look.

How have I not rated this place before? Welcome dinner for RBWG, but that was my 3rd or 4th visit. Nice ambiance, upscale pub in a way. Great service and food and pretty damn good beers. That’s enough in my book!

Visited during RBWG. Located a decent drive from the mother ship brewery. This place has a pretty corporate restaurant feel to it. It reminded me of a more upscale version of what Dogfish Head are doing with their pubs. Our group visited right at the height of dinner service and didn’t find the place to be all that busy. The beer options clearly aren’t as plentiful as at the brewery itself, but there’s still a decent amount to choose from, including offerings that are exclusive to the brewpub. The house brews seem to have been created to be enjoyed with food, as they weren’t nearly as aggressive some of the stuff CCB’s known for (we found cream ales, milds etc. on offer). The food itself was awesome, better than I expected. The chicharron starter I had was a ridiculously-portioned bit of fried pork goodness. Service was attentive, prices were quite reasonable given the quality (and portion size) of food and beer offered. Worth a stop.
