The Cigar City Brewpub is located in the Northdale area of Tampa and is right off of Dale Mabry going north. Itís easily visible from the street. The place itself is very well done with awesome ambiance- every niche is decorated with touches from Cigar Cityís past and present. Beer light chandeliers, barrel lights, and cans everywhere, but not tacky at all. The beer is made on site or at CCB along with other Florida breweries on tap and some local-themed cocktails. The food is inspired; Cuban food with a Tampa twist and all locally sourced, if itís available. I was impressed with the food and beer pairings and the Hunahpu brownie and plantain tater tots are not to be missed. Outstanding place, one of the best in Florida.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, surprised that it was not very crowded. Nice selection of Cigar City taps, including the ones just brewed here. No guest taps on this day. Food and service were excellent. First class all the way.

Visited here in late March í14 while on a business trip. Surprised at how far north of Tampa it was....just assumed it was on the south side of Dale Mabry below I-275. Well, anyway, by the time I got here, was duly impressed. Excellent beer oriented decor, but not kitschy or cheap (no old Michelob mirrors or beer can collections) but classical such as deconstructed bourbon barrels for lamp fixtures and empty barley malt sacks as wallpaper - nice touch. Young, energetic, mostly hipster crew and clientele. No worries, still treated great and promptly. Food was excellent and very affordable - had the best Cuban sandwich I have ever put my lips upon along with some homemade plantain-like chips - for only $9. Beer selection was excellent - at least a dozen of their own "brewpub only" beers on tap with a few from their big brother downtown and a handful of guest taps. Will be a regular stop on visits to Tampa.

Industrial type building in the middle of a shopping center. Good service and the food was better than expected. Beer list was good and included a bunch of Cigar City that will never get distributed (brew pub only). Nothing amazing, but worthwhile if you are in the area.

Ambiance was like a large old fishing house with lots of wood and stuff, very busy. Staff was friendly and fast for how busy they ere. Selection was ptretty great and extensive, amny house only brews. Food was very good and different to me at least. Prices were pretty reasonable as well. Overall I would much rather stop here than the brewery.

Stopped by during TBBW 2014. Very nice, friendly atmosphere with a lot of good rotating beers. They were super busy so it was kind of hard to find a seat at the bar and the service was hit or miss. Iíll need to go again when itís not the night before Hunahpu Day.

The place is really nice with the look and feel of the "Craft beer is classy... and difficult to brew" mindset that is permeating Florida - even the east coast of south Florida. New breweries, brewpubs and beer bars galore. Lots of wood and laminate here. Great bar - oak top and beer can face. Bags of malt or prints of bags of malt make up a good portion of the decor - also prominent are the two light fixtures above the bar that are made strictly of spirit barrels. There are a boatload of stenciled, beer-friendly, liquor barrel bottoms scattered around the walls of the place. Two TVs with random sports always showing. Just a really cool, classy place. The service is very good and the ropa vieja was fantastic. Obviously, the beer list was loaded with several CCB and CCBP beers and about 4 Florida-brewed guest taps. Will undoubtedly visit this place again and again, almost every time I visit the Tampa/St. Pete metro area.

Stopping in here on Thursday. Very solid selection of cigar city beers, flights available, great food. Growlers, bottles and cans available to go. Would come here everyday if I lived in the area.

I liked this place very much. The food was great. From what was on tap to the beer to go options it lived up to the hype of a damn fine brewpub. Now the prices arenít great, plan on paying $60 + for you and a date. As for the service I was not pleased. I made reservations and walked in to find out Iíd have to wait for a table, an hr later my party was seated. They even called me hrs before to see if my party was still planning to attend, so I expected things would go over smoothly. Anyways once we all sat down service was routine. Overall if you plan on going you better love your beer "a lot." The saddest thing was that the hostess/staff knew they would be down tables... they were turning away walk in diners too and did not make up for their mistake on my end. Now do not get me wrong its a solid place and I probably was involved in an unusual evening... but the service needs to be more on it to make their customers satisfied. Hell my party would have spent a ton more if we weregiven a round or compíd a tad for our trouble.

Came in here with group of 4 beer nerds. Awesome tap selection with Hill Farmstead Everett and a major want and wale Hill Farmstead Holger Danske. Then all CCB beers on tap were brewpub exclusive with zero overlap with the normal CCB taproom. Their house cream ale was absolutely mind blowing. Tasting flights were good value, well organized, generous pours. Food was outstanding with a boss Cuban sandwich and really good malanga root chips. Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their food. Prices were low for the quality of beer and food offered. Server was funny, a bit awkward, but got the job done. Super cheap growler fills with $2 for flip-top glassware! Really great experience. They had bottles to go of their house beers including Good Gourds of Thunder.
