50 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 11/20
According to their site it’s not closed even now. Visited in summer of ’11 with first two guys who’ve rated it. A bit hard to find I admit but very worth visit if you’re with a car, we sampled their beers on tap, kindly offered by host, bought T-shirts and went away. I’d be sorry if already rare micros of the region close.

It was closed! We were there at 15.00pm on Monday. :( It hasn’t webpage, it hasn’t a sign on the shopwindow.

Essentially the sales office and showroom of this brewery, which we were told was a few minutes away. Location is a bit out of the center but worth dropping in to say hi. The man at the shop was a very nice guy eager to explain the two beers they had at the time (and tell us about the two new ones coming in some months).
Its likely to find these two beers at some of the nicer beer-oriented bars in Timisoara’s center so it is not essential to visit. But nice to support them and buy a tshirt.

This is the shop/outlet of the brewery that’s 10 minutes walk away. Slightly outside the proper town centre (some 1.5km), it should be easy to reach by tram, even by walking. We went by car though. It’s a small store as the brewery’s just started, having 2 (good) beers, some t-shirts, glasses etc. Obviously, the selection is far from staggering (though it can be expected) and unfortunately the beers are sold only in twelve-packs (which can be mixed), but you get free samples to try and the beers ARE probably the best in Romania. The guy who was running it spoke good English and was really helpful, knew what he was talking about and talkative. They are apparently hoping to release 2 new beers, a brown and a n/a unfiltered blonde, as well as open a Biergarten of their own next year, which is very cool :). All in all an ambicious new micro that I hope does well in the future - they have the beers to succeed!
Now, this cannot get a big rating as a place - as I said, only 2 beers, only 12-packs or samples, shirts and glasses, but it’s a must-stop in Timişoara for a beer traveller who wants to buy their bottles for take-out. Otherwise, just go to one of their outlets - the beer’s worth it and so’s supporting this brewery!
