More of a sports-bar/restaurant for families than brew pub. Service did not know much about beers they served but it was polite. Average food as you might expect from typical sports bar. Beer was just OK but improved recently.

What a great place. Bartender was awesome. Beer was good wings were great. What more do you want?

Decent food, atmoshphere is alright although patio is on a busy street, usually 5 of their own brews on tap but as has been said they are hit and miss - at least they now have some seasonals once in a while. Still one of the only brewpubs in the city depending on how much time you have might be worth a visit. Especially good to stop in for a pint if you are waiting for a table at The Works (great burger joint) across the street.

Nothing wrong with this place overall. Their own beer is hit and miss, but you can usually find a cask, which has value on its own. Food is decent, decor is fine.

Mmmm...well, this is the only survivor of the original 4 brewpubs in Ottawa....wished Abe and Roscoes was still there....beers are mediocre to decent (especially in the last year, they are now having seasonals regularly). The Bank street location is nice and cosey, with the 5 originals, and macro crap. The food never dissapoints, upscale pubgrub, with great happy hour specials on appetizers M to Th. I still go once in while to eat.

Nice little place with a great downstairs if you have a big group. Finding a place to sit upstairs could be a challenge. Beer selection is adequate with the obvious bias towards their own brews. Food is normal pub fare, nothing noteworthy. Patio in the summer is really nice on Bank.

La place est trop commerciale pour la sélection il manque beaucoup de choix et leurs bières sont o.k. Le sevice recu chaque fois était pas ce que je recherchais et la valeur pour mon argent ne compte pas beaucoup quand la bière est ordinaire. Bref il n’est pas un incontournable.

One of the few decent patios (but small) in the downtown area, and with free parking too. The downstairs has a nice dark pub feel but the upstairs is left a little wanting. Beer selection (commerical) is satisfactory, but you order their homebrew when you are here. They had 7 different varieties to choose from this weekend. Service is average, but they keep their food choices a cut above the overage pub fare and at a reasonable price too. Well worth a visit.

Établissement visité le dimanche 11 mai vers 15h. Ambiance: Musique soft/rock en sourdine. Manque un peu ti peu de personalité. Table de billard au sous-sol. La terrasse est très bruyante car elle est situé sur Bank presque à l’entrée de la 417. Service: Correct sans plus. Sélection: 5 bières maisons et quelques bières d’Ontario. Nourriture: Les perogies étaient un peu trop frit. (90e rating d’établissement)

Regularly go for the Tuesday wing night special as they are quite delicious! Patio is pretty useless as it’s pretty much sitting on Bank st. by the 417 Onramp. Downstairs den is pretty wicked. I always take the Bytown Brown or their Red.
