A very impressive gastropub that has a great tap list. King Street seems to be a real hub of activity in Charleston, so it was unsurprising to find this place pretty busy during lunch service. I scored a spot at the bar and found the service to be quite attentive. The 40ish taps were very well curated. A broad range of styles were available - beer geeks and casual punters alike had plenty to choose from. The focus was mainly on local beers (Quest, Westbrook, Holy City), something I appreciate. The food was absolutely fantastic southern pub fare. My fried chicken sandwich was a superlative example of how good simple food can be when itís done right. Prices were reasonable too. Overall, a must-stop location. Iíd be a regular here if I lived in Charleston.

Really nice place in the heart of Charleston. Fairly large place thatís dimly lit. Real extensive tap list that runs the gamut in terms of styles. Plenty of local beer on, which is nice. Prices are all over the place, ranging from $2.25 to $11 for 10 ounce pours. Most beers are offered in 10 ounce, 16 ounce, and 1 liter pours. Bigger beers arenít served in liters generally speaking. Bartender was very attentive and friendly, and from Jersey to boot! Real solid place Iíd have no problem coming back to.

Very cool interior. Selection is stellar for where we were. Service very friendly.
The food menu was a bit of a turn off, so we only had a couple of beers and moved on for food.
Proper glassware for all beers also.

A great place for quality beer and food. Nice ambiance and attentive staff. The best tap list in Charleston in my opinion. On our visit New Belgium Imperial Coffee Stout, Tilquin Gooze & Justin Blabaer to name but a few. Food was very well executed posh fast-food. Chicken wings & chilli dogs were freaking delicious. This place really impressed us. A Charleston must-visit.

Could very well be Charlestonís hippest craft bar. Great selection is coupled with great service in a hip, fun atmosphere. Can get crowded, so get there early. Lots of local beers youíll want to try.

I had the pleasure of visiting Closed for Business this past week while on a business trip to Charleston. Itís pretty clear to me that this is far and away the best craftbeer location in Charleston. The beer selections are very strong with a nice mix of local beers as well as ones from beyond the area (domestic & international). We tried a variety of beers along with the "flight" My only disapointment was that only one flight with a pre-selected mix is available on a given night. The staff s very knowledgeable and helpful...although at times a bit slow or hard to find. The decor and feel of the place is great though and the food selections on a gastropub level. I highly recommend a visit here if in the area or even as a detour.

Took two visits when I was in Charleston. The first was at night which was extremely busy but I received pretty good service. the second was for lunch two days later and the service was awful, took 45 minutes after we finished our meal to get the check even after I got up and asked the waiter for it. Good draft list and no bottles. Pretty solid food as well. Good place but could use some work.

great ambiance, great design. 42 taps, SC & SE well represented. Only one bartender & place got quite busy so drinks took awhile but not her fault. Solid selection & atmosphere. Comfortable. Food was OK, meatball bomber was good, chicken parm sandwich was McDonalds bad. Based on strictly beer selection & ambiance this is a great place
