94 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 19/20 Drake (392) Ivy, Virginia | February 23, 2012 I’m really not sure North Charleston has enough railroad tracks. Sheesh! This place reminds me a little bit of Wedge in Asheville, with people hanging out outside, families, laid back vibe, etc. Though it’s definitely less artsy and more industrial park. Located in a warehouse. I was afraid the place would be swamped as they’re only open a couple times a week, but that was not the case even though they were busy. Inside is some random tables and couches alongside pallets of grain and barrels full of delicious things. The offer bottles for sale and fill growlers of most things. The prices were about what you’d expect. The people working are exceptionally helpful and willing to chat. Overall its a very laid back vibe with excellent beer and good people. Awesome place. | 90 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 beernovice39 (196) Montana | July 21, 2011 Great folks here! Great beer as well. My score on selection is for their beer only. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 20/20 Ernesto987 (54) Connecticut | June 23, 2011 Great small starter breweries, I love the smaller ones in industrial parks. We where helped by the owner and she sampled us one of each of what they had. I wish they had bottled th smoked rye pale ale cause it was so unique and delicious. Will definitely be returning! | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 NachlamSie (447) Tennessee | September 6, 2010 This is one of the better brewery tours I’ve been on. The owners are infinitely approachable and personable and the space that comprises their brewery/living quarters/point of sale/bottling facility is inviting and alive. For tickers the bad news is you’re not gonna get a whole lot of ratings or rarities out of this visit, as they only have 3 taps and they really make an effort to get all their beer distributed in the area. For those more on the non-OCD side, you’re gonna get a warm welcome and engaging experience. I’d visit again in a heartbeat just to say hi. |
