Solid, solid beer bar. In the same vein as Brouwerís though less pretentious. Not all local taps, probably about 1/2 from the PNW, all but 3 Belgians from the Western US and Colorado. Didnít seem like they had any really rare beers on tap, but still had a decent selection. I just wish they had another 20 taps to choose from. I think Iíve tried all but two things on their tap list during my visit, and I was looking for something new. Ninkasi IPA was just that, and it was quite good. Glanced at the food menu, which looked pretty good, but they did not have a late night happy hour. Whoever our server was, she was really cute.

Basic place, free pool. Great selection, not only lots of local stuff, but also good Belgian selection. Co owner Jason was friendly and very helpful. Great place.

Very unimpressive -- sorry. Nothing special in the fridge or on tap when I was there, and the service couldnít care less whether people are there or not. I walked out after having a beer that i could have had on tap in Arizona. Better to walk across the street to Kennedy School -- at least they have some atmosphere and service.

Interesting beer list that stayed interesting as it rotated over a few days. Bonus points for having Taras Boulba, besides the expected selection of Oregon beers. Food was pretty good too. Unremarkable atmosphere but the beer made up for it. Really appreciated the child-friendly area and quick yet patient service. Solid little craft beer bar.

personally, i think hitting up the mcminnimenns kennedy school and concordia alehouse combo is worth the trip if you have two days or more in portland. a lot of local stuff on tap i hadnít tried. pool table, arcade games. mix of families, locals, and creeps like me inside. didnít try the food. servers were very attentive.

Well, when you drive up, the sign looks pretty hokey. Corny í80s flourescent. Donít drive by. Itís a great place. They donít push too hard to make it into something it isnít; it has picnic tables and small bathrooms and no decorations it doesnít need. Plenty of good bottles, plenty of good faucets, taps rotating, lines clean, *great* pub grub, totally fair prices. Happy to go back again and again. Right down the block from the McMinís Kennedy School, which I still need to try, and will.

Portland’s premier drinking destination, no doubt. I feel kinda jammed in when I go - place is oddly shaped. The locals, of course, are very friendly and the ambiance is comfortable and unassuming. Very, very local.

Good selection, and the food was quite good. Service was average. The place was a bit dark for my liking, but definitely worth a visit.

Nice off-the-beaten path little place. Stopped by for a sampler of some fresh hop mystery beers. Very friendly service and very reasonably priced. Solid bar.

This is a really amazing spot in Portland. If you are sick of going to the Horse Brass and want to drink good beer in a smoke free environment, this is the place for you. Really great tap selection with a few belgians always on tap and other unique beers that you donít see very often. A massive cooler behind the bar houses a big selection of botted beers at a good price. All their beers are served in four mug sizes from half pint to 64oz mug. The food is absolutely amazing, and i have never had to wait for a table.
