Nice bottle shop with good selection of wines and beers. They have good stuff including Russian River and 3 Floyds. Small but high-quality selection

This place is located right off of Dunlop circle right across from the metro stop. It’s a really steep escalator so I prefer taking the elevator. It’s a posh street so the shop fits in with the vibe. They don’t have a lot of beer just three coolers and a couple of bookshelves. I scored some Surly which I’ve never seen around here. They also had some 3 Floyd’, Russian river, and some Fantome. So in short they don’t have a ton but what they have is of quality and some rare for the region or the country. Of course it ain’t cheap but where are are you going to score Surly around here?

A small liquor, wine and beer shop in the heart of DC with an extraordinary beer selection - quality not quantity. Thanks top liberal liquor control laws in DC, the get some beers not distributed in the region, e.g., Three Floyds, Russian River and Cigar City.

One of my favorite stops. The selection isn’t tremendous but the quality of the selection is great. I’ve been here a few times while in D.C. and they seem to always get a few bucks from me. The service isn’t great. You always have to ask your questions to the clerk behind the register because there are customers constantly checking out. This limits the guy behind the counter to help each and every browser. The prices are market up on things that are not typically found in D.C. and that makes sense to me. I’ve been to a lot of places and this is a place worth going.

As the others say, make up in quality for what it lacks in quantity. Based on the "beers available" this place must rotate selection constantly as they did not have most of the stuff on the list. I did pick up a Jai Alai and a Juliet, however, and was pretty happy.

Solid stop in DC that gets rare stuff due to DC’s awesome import rules, ie occasional Alesmith, Russian River, Anchorage..although the prices for those are higher.

small bottle shop / deli - a few coolers with six packs and bombers plus a few shelves of imports and bombers. the pricing on the stuff normally found in DC is average, but the grey market stuff (AleSmith, RR, etc) is very expensive. They had some Speedway Stout and AleSmith IPA as well as a few other rarities. I got a FW Sucaba for ~$17 - not bad.

I was visiting from out of town and made a special trip to come here based on the ratings. I was disappointed and found it did not live up to its hype. The fridge selection was inferior to that of even the Whole Foods in Foggy bottom, and while there were some more unique offerings (Mikkeller) a lot of the supposedly grey market offerings (Russian River) were nowhere to be found. A lot of the specialty stuff that was there was room temperature and looked pretty much picked over, with the remaining items looking like they were near or past their sell by date. On the plus side, the gentleman working there was very helpful -- looks like getting on a email list will get you a heads up of new arrivals, which appear to fly out of the place fairly quickly. So, if you live nearby in the Dupont Circle area, the higher ratings are probably warranted. I did pick up a nice item from Deschutes which is next to impossible to find on the east coast.

Small shop right next to the Dupont Circle North metro station. A small selection of six packs: Founder’s, Bell’s, Flying Dog, plus other locals. They seem to get the most of the grey market stuff: Deschutes, Russian River, DDC, Surly, Cigar City, pretty much whatever you can think of at a hefty markup. The staff is usually friendly although the beer guy lied to my face the other day about a special release. Definitely the place to go if you have money to burn though.
