Decent store, one of the better Consumers in the chain. Employees are nice, selection is ok. Growler station is nice.

Middle of the pack in regards to the Consumer franchises. A nice set of rotating taps for growler fills and a solid selection of bottles. Not as good as the better Consumers like Transit Rd. and Niagara Falls Blvd. but not their worst. Prices are often slightly better than Village Beer Merchant or Premier, but they lack the overall selection.

Average beer shop in my books. Nice to see taps. Some bottles might be past best before....

Just remember, in new york you cant buy alcohol unless everyone you are with is 21 or older, this store enforces this to the max. They got a bunch of great beers, bought stone 10 10 10 here. worth a trip, it has a very nice selection of american brews not many imports, but the prices are decent they have taps for growlers, good times

A decent place to find your favorite beer from a major distributor, but you can find many other options as well. Prices are better than premiers and you will find regular sales on the major beer brands. Service is not particularly knowledgable, but they make up for it by being very pleasant and very friendly. It’s worth a visit.

Good enough bottle shop. Not much in the way of ambiance, it has a warehouse feel. Bottles are sometimes old & sometimes in direct sunlight from the windows. Still, you can often save a buck or two by shopping here rather than Premier. They finally take credit cards too.

Visited last May and on several other occasions too, this location consistently offers a good selection and good service at reasonable prices. Growlers are fresh, some of the bottles can be a little old but usually they’re priced accordingly. Often times cheaper than Premier (eg. for 6-packs), sometimes more expensive (eg. for bombers), probably depends on how quickly they can turn it out. You can come across some real finds here, but mostly it’s just a good selection of locally available bottles. Worth checking in.

Elmwood location in Kenmore. Newly redone. Theres a bunch of locations around the Buffalo area, some are good, some not so good. The selection is pretty solid, with some big name American micros (Stone, Avery, Anderson Brothers, Southern Tier, etc.) and some good imported stuff also. Fairly priced (5.99 average bomber). Staff at this location doesn’t know much, but they are friendly. Consumer’s seems like their trying to bring some better stuff to their stores. A few locations now have a respectable selection of beers on tap. Worth a stop in if your in the area.

Stopped at the Elmwood location. They had a decent selection of New England and Midwest beers with some West coast stuff in there too. Prices seemed a little steep, but I’m not used to the NY prices. The one thing that kinda pissed me off about the place was the fact that they don’t take credit/debt cards. Good thing I had $80 in cash on me. A decent place, but nothing compared to the Premier Gourmet when it comes to selection.
