Decent selection for an Australian shop, and even more so in Tasmania. Great Job. Some good US crafts in and a decent selection of Belgian Ales incl. gift sets plus a good collection of UK ales. Decent prices. Not over the top. Great find in Hobart not far from the New Sydney hotel. Had nearly all the TAS micros, but decent enough.

Staff and Owner are lovely to deal with. Very helpful and not pushy, they listen to your tastes and make excellent recommendations of what you may like to try. They stock a good range and the owner only stocks what he likes, he stocks a wide range of beers wines and spirits and is quite knowledgeable about what he stocks.

Bit of a flying visit on the way out of town. Beer is not all they have, but there’s plenty. Locals are lucky to have this place, particularly right in the centre of town. Visitors will be sure to find something worthwhile and/or hard to get outside Tasmania. Helpful but not pushy staff. _Absolutely_ playing in the background which I liked until I realised it’s 33 years old.

Walked in and checked out the selection on August 7, 2013. Popped in again on August 8 to get a few bottles to take with me.
Nice selection, imported section is rather impressive. Nice domestion section as well.
Centrally located, easy to walk up to. Not a huge place in any way.
Some bottles in coolers, some in room temp.
Only interacted with the staff by the register, but they were friendly and service minded.

a must stop especially with how close it is to New Sydney. They have tons of American, European, and Australian beers, with crazy cheap Euro prices, American beers are super expensive. I picked up a St Gilloise for $25 and Rose for $20. Discounts for 6+ bottles and 10+ bottles. Lots of Aussie beers I haven’t seen elsewhere. Staff was pleasant and seemed knowledgable.
