One of the places to which my month’s pay seems to regularly disappear... excellent selection, constantly adding new lines. James is always helpful. Can often find some hidden gems.

Off Licence in the east end of Edinburgh. Great selection of interesting beers & knowledgeable helpful service. What more could you want? - Better website and mail order would be ideal.

The best beer shop in the East side of Edinburgh and the pioneer of craft beer in shops in Edinburgh. Basically, 4 or 5 years ago, there was only this shop, now there are many others. Respect due!

Stocks a good range of decent beers. Base stock doesn’t change very much. Ocassionaly get small batches of high end low availability beers. Staff are helpful and knowledgable.

Primarily a wine shop. Has a decent selection of Scottish, American and German beers. a few mainstream belgian beers. there is significant turnover so each visit means beers that weren’t previously available.

An excellent small bottle store with my favourite selection in Scotland (not that I’ve been in so many stores) meaning that they seem to get more rarities than peckham’s: brewdog imperial stouts, orkney dark island reserve, traquair 900 and cerveceria mexicana porter. Solid selection of scottish ales and very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff.

While the West of the city has the newer Appellation Wines, over East James has been running Cornelius for many years. Enthusiastic and able to provide great advice where needed, the beer range is pretty impressive. Scottish and German beers are the most abundant, some decent American beers as well.
They have a great rolling stocklist at Cornelius, new things are always arriving. Come Christmas it’s the best place in town for the European and US seasonals (I’ve bought a six-pack of Anchor Special Ale from James every year since 2006). The only downside is it’s a bit of a trek from the city centre. But usually a worthwhile one…

Dropped in during my short stay in Edinburgh. Solid little range, however chap behind the counter was super friendly. Found an 'I hardcore you' tucked away in the corner, and despite being aware of how old it is, enquired about the price. 3 quid for a drop that costs around $25 back in Aus, ecstatic. I was also directed towards other craft beer venues, definitely recommend this place.
