Great lunch and dinner spot with good beer options. The food is the big winner here with good craft beer to go with it.

I enjoyed this place. The food is unusual, but there is something for everyone. An acceptable selection of beer. Server was quirky, but fun - a little bit modern day hippie chick. She could have been annoying if you were there too long. This is a well run business in a location you would not expect.

I don’t know that I ever expected a restaurant dedicated to pasties. The traditional pasty does not lend itself well to the masses: a flavorless flop built for function and not aesthetics or enjoyment. But this place has taken the pasty to new levels and into the plates of hipsters.
And what’s a hipster place without a good beer selection? Huge bar area featuring a number of taps from all over the world. Nothing that makes you say "Wow" but it will make a beer snob okay with sitting for dinner.
The food is very good. There are a wide variety of pasty fillings and alternatives if you just can’t accept the weirdness (saracasm) of the pasty. They run $8-12.
Service is typical of a hipster spot: sometimes slow and a little pretentious.
Location is awful - a run-down strip mall on the rougher edge of Tempe. But that can be said for a lot of places in the area. So it goes in Phoenix.

Always a hip spot to hang out with friends after work or perhaps before work. Moderately lit; cavelike, even, with a decent tap list (even if somewhat limited) and generally accepted palatable pasties. Most of the employees however look as if they’re in an indie rock band opening for up Death Cab for Cutie.

Wow, cool place. I headed in here thru a door off of Hardy and wasn’t sure where I was. After passing a narrow space where there is fire and cooking to the left you enter a larger area with tables and rooms in seemingly every direction. The whole space is sort of dark and ’intimate’ maybe. Friendly staff yummy food and a decent enough beer selection that will have me going back soon.

hit the spot in mesa...it is far easier to get a spot in the dining room or bar. the pasties are great (and there’s gotta be 50 different ones) and they have respectable beer lists at both locations...good food, meh beer but don’t let that hold you back from trying it.

This place is fairly close to Taste of Tops, so I would highly recommend stopping by for a pasty and a beer if you’re already in the area shopping for bottles. Their pasties are excellent and they have a respectable tap and bottle list at a fair price point.
