72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 thornecb (54) Marblehead, Massachusetts | August 25, 2010 Cornwall’s is a dark English pub in the center of Kenmore Square convenient to Fenway Park. A long bar stretches the right hand side of the main room with tables to the back. A room off to the side has a pool table. Service is mixed, and sometimes attentive to a fault. They seem to want you in and out. The 25 or so taps are mostly local Mass seasonals, varied US micros, international macros and typical English ales - Fullers, Boddingtons, Guinness, Old Speckled Hen, etc. All beers are served in a pint glass. Food selection is typical pub fare and will be served almost immediately and is about average. Price is typical for the area. Cornwall’s is a nice place to stop in to monitor the upcoming Sox game and is less of a hassle than pubs closer to the park. |
