80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Fatehunter (32) Corbett, Oregon | January 20, 2013 A grocery store with a quality selection of beer. It’s not a large selection but the micros are good and they have a wide range of imports. They have an amazing deli and meat selection too. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 theOptimator (23) Sacramento, California | December 11, 2010 Ambiance is old family run grocery store which is nice. Service is very good. Selections is excellent. Many unique beers here that cannot be found anywhere else in Sac. Great food selection. Value is fine, you pay for quality and they don’t price gouge. Overall a very nice little grocery store that values quality beer. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 GG (14) NorCal, California | November 1, 2010 You can’t go wrong with a stop to Corti Bros. Much like Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods, they carry a wide variety of rare and small batch items, and their beer selection is really nice. Great that you can make your own six-pack of bottles. Their meat dept. is truly a must see. Meats and sausages from all-over. A very unique store, and a must-stop if in the area | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 marcus (146) Sacramento, California | April 2, 2010 I first started buying beers at Cort back in the late 1970s, when all you could get were U.S. macros and a few British beers. Over the years they expanded to include first Belgian beers, then domestic craft beers. The selection is not huge, but you can always find something good here - often brews that you can’t find anywhere else. As a bonus, this is perhaps the best grocery store in Sacramento, with a nice deli, imported cheese, outstanding liquor selection and high-end groceries. It used to be a small local chain, but they have cut back to this one store. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 18/20 pbrick (4) Roseville, California | June 9, 2009 All I know is if you don’t like your trip to Corti Bros there’s something strangely off. Great beer selection featuring a lot of local brewed beers, as well as hard to find imports of top quality. Ciders, sakes and more - everything you want in a grocery store - or bottle shop. | 56 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Gypsy19 (11) California | March 29, 2009| Updated December 17, 2009 The selection here was pretty decent. They probably had around 100 or so beers, most of which were higher-tier. They don’t have nearly the section as Beverages & More!, but the beers they do have easily have a higher average ratebeer score. They also have some interesting-looking sakes as well. The food here is all high-quality stuff, and expensive; This is where rich folks shop for groceries in Sacramento. It’s kind of like a Trader Joe’s but more old-school and not corporate. Probably has about 40 or 50 beers that I’ve never seen at Beverages & More!. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 DTM (13) Winters, California | February 21, 2008| Updated December 17, 2009 The best quality of Corti Brothers is the fact the you can buy singles of many of the beers. It’s an older gorcery store comparable to that of Trader Joe’s. Of course I went for the build your own six pack and left a happy man. | 64 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 DYCSoccer17 (275) Woodland, California | September 30, 2007| Updated December 17, 2009 This place has a decent selection. Not as good as Bevmo, but they do have some oddball beers that I haven’t really seen other places. The main benefit of this place is they allow singles. Probably the only place in the area that has a good selection that allows singles. I’d much rather this than a place like Bevmo which has a better selection but no singles. Worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood of Hoppy Brewing. The register clerk was amazingly nice and appreciative when I told her that they charged me for a 6 pack rather than a single. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 bhensonb (405) Woodland, California | September 6, 2007 It’s an upper crust grocery with a wall of beer that makes Whole Food’s anemic. They have empty 6 packs for your convenience in breaking full ones. I suspect there are well over 100 beers - but who had time to count. Good place to find that odd Jack Russell brew. What a great opportunity to see so many all at once. I think the selection comes close to Sonoma Wine Exchange. They had Old Engine Oil - could be the first time for that in Sacramento. |
