By far the best beer shop I’ve been to in the UK. Only rivalled by some of the craft beer specialists in Washington State.

The most amazing beer shop in the UK, I travel an hour and half, 80 miles to get there, all totally worth it for what is the best selection of beer in the UK at the best prices. Then to top this off its run by the most friendly enthusiastic guys, who will always go out of their way to help and serve their customers. There is also the added bonus too of the growler filling station recently installed, where you can get those really rare craft beers to take home in a fine glass growler. I will continue to do my long trek to get there, as there is not finer craft beer shop in the UK.

Discovered and recommended by Birmingham Twitter users, this is a real find. Just up the road from Stirchley Wines, they have a very large selection of British ales, Belgian beers and Germans - the latter of which is the largest selection I’ve seen anywhere (apart from Germany). Good value, friendly owners. Neck and neck with SWS, which leaves South West Birmingham ridiculously overburdened with good beer availability, in contrast with the rest of the city. Unmissable.

Full marks to jas and his brother. Super knowledgeable and friendly, no pretence and generous with their experience. Lucky to have this shop in brum, the selection is the best I have seen anywhere in the world. Prices are realistic and fair. Great man cave out back, too. World class!

What can be said that hasn’t already been said about the world class Cotteridge Wines? There probably isn’t a better bottle shop in Europe. Period. The bottle selection in numbers is unmatched, the diversity of the beers unmatched and the prices... unmatched. Top that off with a 14 tap, fully-licensed, tasting room and Jaz and Kal have done a magnificent job, easily the hardest working people in beer. All this is topped off by having local beer expert, Roberto Ross, to guide you through your choices. You can get most beers available here quicker than London etc and obviously cheaper than anywhere. It’s hard to take it all in when entering as there’s truly is a remarkable amount of great beer. Make no mistake, this shop is not only a gem for Birmingham but for the whole of the UK, no world-wide list would be complete with out Cotteridge’s finest.

Best store I’ve been to in England by a long shot. Super friendly and helpful staff. Amazing selection of English, Belgian, and US beers. So many US beers I can’t find back home. If in Birmingham this store is a must do.

This place is fantastic. They clearly have the best selection for miles around and by far the most reasonably priced. Recent samplings have included beers from Kernal, Brodies, Flying Dog, Stone Brewing, Oakham, Limestone, Thornbridge, Summer Wine and their selection of Arbor Ales is always superb! The guys that run the place are always happy to help and if you’re after something specific, just ask and they might be able to get it. I already travel across Brum to get here but I’d def travel further. It’s a beer drinkers paradise!

What a fantastic store.Vast range of beers. What impressed me was the stocking of the complete range of bottles from a brewery from the weakest to the most powerful.British craft breweries are very well represented and don’t get me started on the German range. Top up with a few Americans and some excellent Italians and this makes for an excellent store. Perhaps not such an exotic range as Stirchley wines but the prices are more competitive. Great service-great store. Beer lovers please use them so as they can get even better.
