84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Alphadelic (56) Portland, Oregon | May 13, 2011 They always seem to have one of ratebeers top beers on. Plus cask beers and some rocking locals. Amazing patio for a sunny afternoon. Dude knew what he was talking about, had a good sense of humor etc. Liked it a lot, wish it was a little closer to my home. | 56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 10/20 flyer50 (48) Seattle, Washington | October 31, 2010| Updated November 1, 2010 There on a Friday evening. Beer list out of date, server not sure of what was replacing the blown kegs. Screaming kids swarming the place. Food was a major disappointment.
No Pliny. | 92 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 DrHomolka (22) Portland, Oregon | June 18, 2010| Updated November 1, 2010 Gets my vote for most underrated beer place in the city. Cool, laid back atmosphere with very friendly service. The food is very good. Definitely not your average Irish Pub feel but who cares. Dart boards and a beer hall sorta feel though it’s small. Has Pliny on as a house beer. Also Damnation and seen Blind Pig quite a few times as well. They definitely have the Russian River hookup. Prices are very good. All in all one of my favorite places to grab a beer. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 mykie73 (10) Oregon | February 23, 2010| Updated November 1, 2010 I love the cork. nice irish music on the weekends. hidden gem.
This typically is my "beer bar" of proximity due to having Russian river (non-sour) ales frequently and the Great Patio. selection is predominately Columbia due to owner being married to a Columbia rep.
Serve Imperial pints which comes out to be a great value. Owner is very nice and find the staff to be quite friendly.
Very Kid friendly. When I have children., This spot and Laruelwood will most likely be my places to go.
| 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 boFNjackson (71) Portland, Oregon | November 4, 2009| Updated August 2, 2011 What a great place. Traditional Irish pub, and well done, not like the "Irish Pub" places that jocks hang out at. Loads of nitro stouts on. What’s best is the Russian River. I believe the owner is the wife of the gentleman who does their distribution. Generally PtE and Damnation are on tap. and with 20oz pours you can’t go wrong. Food is good, lots of fried stuff and plates like Ploughman’s Lunch. Staff is always friendly, even during the busiest of times. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 troopie (63) Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon | February 15, 2009| Updated August 2, 2011 Comfy neighbourhood pub with very good food. Doesn’t go the cinematic leprechaun and shamrock route, but the local gathering place. Live music. Much less expensive than Kells, and their barman knows how to build a pint of Guinness. Friendly and attentive service. | 84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 beerinmarch (118) Washington | November 9, 2004| Updated August 2, 2011 batkins showed me this place in northeast portland, quite a fun place. The night we were there this guy was rockin out on a fiddle and playing some irish and classical tunes. A great brew selection with some unique special releases. Food was really good and the overall pub atmosphere was good. A few too many children in the place, which turned out to be a problem cause i was watching the redsox play the yankees and had to keep apologizing for my F-words. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 batkins (78) Vancouver, Washington | September 19, 2004 The County Cork is a small traditional Irish style pub. They have 23 taps that rotate a great selection of micro’s, with a tendency toward local beers. There are also 2 casks and a nitro tap. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food includes some traditional Irish fare, as well as a great fish and chips. Live music on Tues. & Thurs., usually acoustic and/or Irish. NO SMOKING. Children are always welcome there. While it doesn’t fall into the same catagory as the Horsebrass, this is a great little place to stop in for a beer or two. |
