Have popped by once a month or so since it opened in summer í11. Great selection on both tap and cask, backed up by a solid bottle range. Staff always knowledgeable and friendly.
Cask ales are micro breweries from around the UK, tap will be a mix of Scandoís, US, UK and the odd Eureopean offering. Food is limited to pork pies and scotch eggs. Decent artisanal examples but I wish they would do a little more in the way of food to help soak up the beery goodness! (I understand the kitchen was sacrificed for the gents on ground level). Food rating reflects choice, not quality! My last visit was on 11/08/12 and I sampled beers from Kernel, Westbrook, southern Tier and Farmers Cabinet on tap and a Fyne Ales on cask. Look up at the ceiling downstairs and wave! I must have been here half a dozen times before I did!

A fantastic place, with great draft options, from local London craft brewers. An Impressive bottle list from local brewers as well as great import options from the U.S and European continent. Will revisit this place everything Iím in London. The value score I gave is relative, London is just expensive.

Absolutely tremendous. The fact that the owner is a Ratebeer guy makes this outstanding...not out of bias, but because he generously took me on a tour of the basement, which had all kinds of goodies and history, too. The atmosphere is good--great ceiling--but it isnít particularly comfortable for long-term seating. The selection is first-rate, however. And the street it is on has a great day-time market with awesome food, too. This is definitely one of the best places in London.

I am guessing i was unlucky. What ruined the visit for me were the people almost screaming at the next table.. really really loud and crowded. The beer selection though was insane!
I also tried the food which was really not of my liking :S - Will go there again next time i go to London and hopefully have different view on the atmosphere because the beer selection is just too good.

Been here more times than I can remember now and itís only been open a year! Great selection of cask and keg beers and with Tom Cadden in charge you know your beer is going to be in good nick. Food is limited to pork pies but they are very good. Nice olde worlde feel to the place and thank Christ no fucking bar stools! Upstairs is pleasant and airy on a summers day. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Terrific joint.

This is simply THE beer bar in London; if you only have one day, this is where you should go. Constantly rotating selection of the best British brewers (often with special focus on particular breweries, offering several or all of their beers, including special limited releases) as well as plenty of internationals, e.g. Mikkeller, Evil Twin, Haandbryggeriet, Boon, Southern Tier, Clown Shoes etc. Bottle selection also second to none with many rare finds possible. Staff is always knowledgeable and efficient, even at peak times. Love the ambience in that you are surrounded by beer geeks so can easily strike up a conversation with anyone.
Plus, itís my local ;-)

Nice place. Big and spacious. Plenty of seating. They had about 20 beers on tap / cask. The draft beers werenít too impressive. Standard offerings from Denmark and America with a few English beers. The bottle list was nice from Lambic, Trappiste and a wide range or European and American beers. They offer tasting of draft beers so I tasted 6 beers and did ratings which was nice.
