Love this spot, but it’s always quite busy. Strong selection of taps with frequent guest events that keep things rotating frequently. Really advancing the beer scene in London. Knowledgeable staff and the food is above-average. Necessary if you’re in the area.

Ok. Beer heaven. I’ll admit to having lost count, but there must be at least 15 keg and 12-15 cask here. Some great choices in that selection: Cigar City, Lost Abbey, Stone, Thornbridge, Kernel, etc etc etc. Of course this is CBC. So the service is rushed (they’re popular innit?) prices are through the roof and atmosphere is, while nice enough, not the primary concern. But I’m here for the wonderful, wonderful beer. Everything else is gravy.

Huge thanks to Leighton and the RB London crew for creating such a memorable experience at this amazing bar! Came in on a Wednesday early evening to do a bottle share with the guys/gals upstairs. Great, warm environs with outstanding taps that seemed predominantly British to my memory. Definitely had a Kernel IPA on at a solid price. Staff was quick and courteous, it was packed and the vibe was still comforting. Top notch place, a must in London.

2015-09-23. That’s it? I like the space for the most part, and the beer selection is pretty solid, (particularly once you factor in the extensive - but pricey - bottle list) but based on a 99 score I expected the beer selection to be even more impressive. It’s probably not realistic, but I want every tap to be at least a 3.5! I suspect this is the problem many top rated beer bars have - If you are local you tend to think of the selection as a whole rather than on a given day, whereas if you visit just once you judge a place on what is available at that moment. Many of the keg beers are very expensive but today the keg selection is a bit more interesting than the casks stuff for the most part. The roped off section outside for drinking outside is just weird to me as a North American, similar to the Covent Garden location. It was not busy enough to really be needed at late afternoon on a Tuesday but it was relatively busy nonetheless. I guess it depends partly on how you feel about sitting vs standing. Service was fine, I didn’t really test their knowledge. Overall I liked it, and I will come back if I can, but overall I thought the cozier atmosphere at Clapham and Islington was worth the trade off for a slightly smaller beer list. Would be nice to be able to do thirds. Edit: Just now realized there is an upstairs. Oops.

Huge selection. I’ll make the same complaint for each entry in this chain - no thirds. Stuck paying high prices for a half of a 10+% beer

Two level place, downstairs has the bar with a monstrous row of taps. Upstairs is for sitting, chilling, gathering. When I asked what sours they had on, it took staff 10 minutes to go through the entire list. Some of those were US sours that are hard to find back home. Staff had great recommendations, and were generous with the samples. Food is limited to crisps and scotch eggs. A must-visit while in London.

Had a pub crawl planned, this was the first stop. Due to the rain it became the last as well. A nice place, very nice selection on tap, even better on bottle they also have samll dishes of food. I had a pork pie that was ok. If you want a meal, this is not the place though.

Visited during RBESG London, summer 2014.
Felt very welcome. Good atmosphere (though truth be told we occupied the upstairs space with our party, not a lot of mingling with the other guests going on. Very decent selection, nice staff and good food.

Visited on Easter 2013. Not many people in the pub, but considering the day and that it was early afternoon it was understandable. Interior felt a bit cold. Selection is impressive, 37 taps and lots of bottles. Prices bit on the high side. I’d consider this one a must visit.
