Great pub/beer bar, fairly centrally located in Clerkenwell. The street level bar is dominated by the huge bar, packed with taps and hand pumps, while there are a couple of smaller rooms with additional seating upstairs. Beer selection is awesome: 16 hand pumps with ever changing real ales from high class small brewers from across the UK, another 21 taps with keg beers from the likes of Mikkeller (and other Danes), NŲgne ÷, Stillwater, Southern Tier and lots of other high quality brewers. And of course, thereís the bottled beer list ... quite pricey, but only top quality (and coming from Sweden, Iím used to worse in terms of prices). Food: no meals, but some nibbles are available. The only draw-back would be the fact that it almost always seems to be packed with people (inside and outside), meaning you might have to wait to be served, even though service is friendly and efficient. Donít be surprised to meet other ratebeerians and fellow beer geeks. All in all, Tom and the crew are making a hell of a job here. Keep it up. Iíll be back.

CBC is located in a great spot of Clerkenwell in central London. This is the younger sister of Cask Pub and Kitchen. The offerings on cask and keg are ridiculously good. The beer is always in great nick, these guys know how to handle their product. The bottle list is very good, not to CPKís standard, but probably the second best in London. Seating can be difficult to obtain if you show up on a Wednesday-Saturday evening. Their upstairs room can get really hot and stuffy. As the pubís located on a quiet street, many punters opt to drink outside. Prices are quite high, but Iím happy to pay for the quality. Food options are minimal (scotch eggs, meat pies) and expensive, but good if youíre willing to splurge.

Craft Beer Co. may well be the best beer destination in London at the moment. It is an easy to find corner bar close to the Farringdon tube station in Clerkenwell. Itís a little more upscale and smaller than its sister pub CASK. However, thereís a nice upstairs area if it gets too crowded in the main room. There is a huge Charringtonís framed mirror on the wall which adds a little to the decor. I visited at lunchtime during the week, and the clientele were middle-aged to older businessmen. It probably attracts a younger crowd in the evenings. The service was very good - friendly and knowledgeable. The selection was unrivaled anywhere in London. There were around 15 cask (mainly English microbreweries) and 20 regular taps, featuring the likes of Mikkeller, Dark Star, Thornbridge, Magic Rock, Manchester Marble, etc. There were also several US beers on tap, including 3 from Rogue. There is a good bottle selection in coolers behind the bar. The quality and condition of the beers was excellent - very clean and fresh tasting. Craft Beer Co. is world-class for trying different English beers, and a must visit when in London.

This is a modern pub that focuses on microbreweries. Clean and nice interior. The Guest are beer geeks from around the world. The pub is good, but lacks a little charm. The place is definitely worth a visit though. Great beer.

We have been 3 times now and on each occasion it has been a different atmosphere, ranging from the cool and relaxed on a Saturday afternoon to manic and crammed on a Friday night. Itís all about beer in here and what a selection they have, there is something for everyone. Tom has a particularly good touch in selecting the Brewers he likes to show and I have not had a beer I havenít appreciated so far. Itís not for everyone, particularly if you are looking for tradition, but this is a major development in the British Pub scene and if the crowds last night are anything to go by, it will be a roaring success.

Nice atmosphere, a bit of a typical bar with a brighter attitude. Good selection of draft and cask. Friendly service that will explain the beers in depth, even if you donít ask. A few beers that you will only find here, brewed exclusively for them. Iíll be going back again, a few more times.Decently priced as well.

Top end british public bar, located a five minute walk from Chansery Lane tube-station. Stylish and functional, with an impressive number of taps. I counted 38, equally divided between casks and kegs. Some imports (De Molen, Mikkeller and more), and a fine range of brits. They had some very nice ones from Summer Wine, Revolution Brewing and Fyle Ales when I was there. Nice and knowledgeable staff. Pleasant atmosphere. I must when in London.
