Smaller than Clerkenwell, but more taps. Very crowded Friday/Saturday.

Visited several times but rated based on a visit in September 2015.
It wasn’t too busy when I arrived just be 5pm, good cask range on from Fyne, Crouch Vale, Dark Star and Bad Seed plus a fine array of keg filth from around the world.
Beer was in good condition, gave a few samples away to try things, the staff are friendly and quick to serve. Prices are a little high but nothing too eye watering, the bar staff do say if the prices are a little above the norm.
It’s a nice place, downstairs available for seating but found a perch upstairs to make rating more efficient. A great place to stop and visit and handy for the West End and Covent Garden.

Small place, not bad, and has a nice liquor selection to go along with plenty of beers (including 3 Van Winkle variants). Worth a stop in. Burger and fries were fine and worthy of eating again, but nothing mind blowing.

Nice friendly staff, big selection of half cask, half keg. Small inside & a large-ish terrace of barrels to stand around. A fun place but more for a quick drink or two as the set up doesn’t seem to encourage lingering. Samples were easy to come by and the staff were cheerful & knowledgeable.

Corner bar with the best cask selection I’ve seen yet in London. Nice outside area and window seats too. Nice stop for a mid afternoon pint or four.

Nice corner bar site with some barrels outside for vertical drinkers/ smokers. Bigger room downstairs with tables and chairs. V hot and sticky until air con turned on. Toilets decent enough.
Unfortunately tills were down for a while; member of staff unable to add up change in her head and struggled to find beers on EPOS when it was working again. This exarcebated the fact that there were only 2 staff serving and a full house on bank hol sunday.
Beer prices par for the course for London, with some reasonably priced and others less so. Halfs of Almanac gose and Anspach sour saison each ~£4. Pirate Bomb £7.50 a half. Still annoying that you’re not able to buy beer in thirds eespecially something at 15%!
Overall great selection on tap plus plenty to keep you occupied bottle wise. Food selection looks decent but didn’t eat on this occasion. Handy for covent garden/ high holborn so expect will return at some point but prefer the Leather Lane premises

Even though this pub is slightly off the main tourists routes east to west and north to south in the west end, it’s a packed place that people find without much trouble. There’s two levels with the slightly cramped ground floor area including the long bar facing the pubs longest window where there’s only a handful of places to sit. There’s a few tables before this after you enter, but the lion share of them are downstairs in the larger open basement room. Like others in this chain pub there’s a considerable row of cask ales that are backed up by keg options and bottles, although this one was not as appealing as the other place from this group I’d previously visited - it’s not as well decorated as that one, and this one is way too touristy, which is something I thankfully don’t have to deal with in the best beer joints in the North of England.
