We stood in front, wrapped in inclement-weather plastic, standing up at small tables. Bar food was very tasty, and tap selection was very interesting. Good stop.

Atmosphere of an open-space salaryman standing bar. Service is ok but the place is just constantly packed. Draft selection is wide but quite uneven in terms of quality. The flat and record low price tag is the best argument of the place, you can enjoy a few decent locals and imports on your way to a big night or dinner. Would probably not go very often though as it is so popular that they now ask to make reservation, which Iíve never heard before at a standing bar...

Didnít go inside, only stood at the outside tables. Nice selection of beers, decent pub food even if the one we wanted was sold out.

Very much like the jimbocho premises but a bit smaller. There was not the huge amounts of salary men there as I was expecting, but apparently this may have been because it was the day before payday. Definitely worth bearing in mind for next time. Staff were very nice and helpful. As usual the prices are near to unbeatable in Tokyo. Decent selection too. •300 cover charge which you can make up if you have a few pints. Will definitely be coming back and hope it is as nice next time. Could be not so nice if it is was crammed full.

Good selection, ok quality (should be better and more consistent). Service can be SLOOOOOW. occasional mistakes with order.
designed for salarymen who may not know craft beer. It works. Close weekends.
Good place for a cheap introduction to Japanese craft beer, being surrounded by Japanese salarymen and women.

I kinda liked that all beer are the same prices on tap, but that may just be from a visitors perspective. The venue is nice enough, warm lighting, not pretentious from an initial observation. Staff were responsive and efficient, though knowledge of beers were somewhat lacking. Thanks to Chuwy for directing the way.

Good find. Good prices (even if the pint is NOT a pint) ie 480 yen small 780 yen ípint Busy and a little crowded. A little non descript - like most hole in the wall bars, but with room for about 40 people. Service was solid if not exactly on fire and the selection was pretty good when I was there. Mostly Japanese beers. Good one two with Nagano Sake (also in Shimbashi) for cheapest night out in Tokyo.

Most of what I heard about this place was not good. What to expect, when itís the cheapest craft beer in Tokyo... I was pleasantly surprised. Service was ok, although I got some attitude when I went in and said I didnít want to sit inthe corner. The girl who came around later was very friendly, though. Beer selection was good. Besides 3 majors, the selection of 27 craft beers was rather unimaginative--in fact, there were none I hadnít had--yet then again there were no dogs, either. Solid stuff from the top craft brewers. I had a Nicoise salad that was very good. Condition of the beers was fine, though maybe not quite perfect. Worth a stop.

Opened early 2011. Small-ish, but with four tables outside for standing. Probably can fit 40 or so people total. 30 rotating beers, except 3 mainstream. I didnít see any uber rare breweries, but lots and lots of seasonals and almost purely Japanese micros (it seems they will keep only one American micro on at all time). Seems to be always packed since it open. Nothing to do with the decent, but not unusual line-up, it purely has to do with prices. BY FAR the cheapest place in Tokyo. 780yen pints for EVERYTHING - including US micros. Food is standard pub quality, but with flair - Veal Cutlet Milano was certainly good, but it was not created by some top Italian chef - at a reasonable price. Friendly customers. That said, Iíve heard numerous complaints that beer tastes off/strange here. Since I drank three pints and had no complaints, I canít rate a place based on heresay. Obviously any places that can serve craft beer 25% cheaper than most places in town and is central - though tricky to find - is going to be very popular. If you are in the area, or on a budget, sure I would stop, but it is not a top-tier Tokyo destination, but a solid second tier destination.
