Stopped in on a Thursday evening. Parked several blocks away, as I was just exploring the area. It looked like street parking was available when the streets arenít blocked off. There was a decent blues band playing while I was here and that was enjoyable. It took several minutes to be noticed at the bar, despite it being less than half full. The server didnít know what their special beer on tap was and there wasnít a draft list anywhere I saw that said what it was. Maybe I missed it. The beers were all mediocre. I canít speak to the food, but I was given a taste of their cocktail sauce just for being at the bar. It was quite good and unlike any I had tried previously. My five beer sampler was about $9.50 before tip.

This is one of several place ticks along Decatur Street. Itís a pretty nice walk since you can see the water from here and itís across the street from the old Jackson Brewery. Itís also down the street from the Pepper Palace, which any fan of chili, hot sauce, or salsa should experience. Sadly the beer made at this brewery is at best sub par, and at worst bad. They had some lagers, which was an interesting touch but nothing on the menu really impressed me. As usual, the hefe was the best.
The Decatur St burger was good in that I was allowed to choose from a large list of cheeses. The fresh mozzarella along with the tomatoes on the burger were a good combo. The burger itself was OK. The service was minimal but friendly. The bar is old and wooden with a very heavy layer of shellac on it. Above the bar a bunch of blown glass jellyfish. Kind of neat.
The building is worth exploring but the beers are not.

Went there for the beer only. Had six samples and a few were not bad. I loved the building and bar.

Right on Decatur in the French Quarter. Several seats around the weathered wood bar. Several high tops toward the front with more of a dining area to the rear. Exposed joists separate the bottom floor from the upstairs, which is where the breweryís fermentation tanks are contained. The place, overall, is pretty warn. If it was a neighborhood place instead of a tourist stop, the rough edge qualities would be much more endearing. The service is obligatorily nice; not genuinely nice. The beer is shit. Very few offerings. Four taps.

2012-03-XX. The beer itself is actually a bit disappointing. It was okay, but a bit bland for my tastes. The schwarzbier was my favorite of the bunch today. I had the Oyster Club sandwich which was quite good. I asked for my sauerkraut on the side since I am not always a fan of sauerkraut, but that was a mistake because it was delicious and I spent half my meal putting it back into the sandwich! Service was decent but unexceptional. We were there for brunch/early lunch and got a good sized group seated after a short wait. I think we just beat the rush. Location is great in the FQ/near the waterfront. Its worth a stop if you are in the neighbourhood but not worth going out of the way for, at least not just for the beer, imho.

Tranditional New Orleans styled place with great live jazz playing up front near the bar. Service was pretty good and stopped by often to make sure we had what we needed. Six house beers were on tap, but none were really that good. Food was good, but for the price, there are better options nearby. Okay place and probably just worth one trip for the new ratings.

Quite touristic place as itís close to Jackson Sq but nevertheless the brews and seafood ťtouffťe were excellent. A bit pricey though. I was really surprised how good the beers were.

This is a New Orleans brew pub located across from the now defunct Jax Brewery in the French Quarter. All the look and feel of the Big Easy are alive in the brew pub, including the walk-up beverage window along the sidewalk. The service was friendly and quite helpful, including cornering the oyster shucker as he arrived to get us the first shucked dozen of the day. The house beers are in a German style, and the food is New Orleans-esque.

This is the only brewpub in New Orleans (I guess the 2nd, if you count Gordon Biersch) and it is located in the French Quarter. For these reasons alone it is worth stopping by, but that is about it. They serve predominantly German styles. The 2 I tried (the spring bock and dunkel) were ok, nothing special. I didnít try any of the food, but it is your typical NOLA offerings. This place is mostly for tourists, but they do have live music starting around 7pm, so thatís another reason to stop by.
