Easy to find brewery tap room not in some crazy to find industrial park. 6 taps on deck with tasters and full pours allowed. Quality was very high with the WWBV being completely insane. One of the best beers I’ve had all year. Service was quick, intimate, friendly. Definitely strike up a conversation with these dudes since they are beer making experts. Lots of fun to visit. Wish they had more variety on tap and in bottles, but looks like the locals clean this place out for good reason. Kudos to one of my favorite breweries!

Visited after Hogshead on a Thursday evening. As other have noted, this is in an odd corner of NW Denver, though it is super easy to access from I-70 and Pecos. Crooked Stave has a unit in an ugly cinder block building. The setup is very simple, a tasting bar right as you enter, with a handful of bar tables in the small front room. When I visited, I believe they had 6 beers on draft, as well as a couple of bottles for sale. The barrel room is visible through a door, and definitely is impressive in the amount of beer they have on wood. Service was friendly and welcoming, the crowd was all very beer geeky (including me, of course). Good spot, certainly a must see if you are a fan of Crooked Stave beers.

A bit small and in an out-of-way location but it is a neat place for beer geeks. Their beer is especially delicious and at good prices too.

This is simply a great place to have styles of beer that are not common most other places. How Crooked Stave does their Saisons, Wild Ales, and how they use barrels is magical. These guys are pretty amazing. A small place, that is all about beer. Friendly crowd, knowledgeable help, and on Saturday I had some amazing soup from the Soup Guru. A great place.

One of the best places to hit in Denver for a beer tourist or even for locals. Not the best neighborhood but it is super convenient to access right off of I-70 and I-25. They seem to rotate new and interesting blends and dry-hopped versions of their standard brews quite often. It’s a bit on the pricey side ($8 for a glass of some blends and just a buck or two off for "tasters"), but for the most part, the quality is really there. They also sell some pretty sweet bottles on premise that you can’t find around town making it a great stop for visitors to Colorado. The staff is incredibly friendly and personable. This definitely shouldn’t be excluded from a Denver/Colorado beer tour.

This place is a must-visit for any sour head stopping in Denver. The tap room is located in an industrial area of town not far from the highway. When you visit this place, you realize how small of an operation Crooked Stave still is. The tap room’s small, with no frills. There’s room for about 12 people to sit down, with only 1 bathroom to serve all the punters. Still, the ambiance is reasonably pleasant. The service is quite good. I overheard one of the bartenders discussing Crooked Stave’s brewing process in great deal with one of the punters, so clearly the staff is knowledgeable. The selection’s not massive - there were 5 beers on tap available on my visit. There beers were very tasty indeed. Overall, I’d come to this place often if I lived in Denver. These guys are legit.

Fun to finally visit Chad’s own place. Full of beer geeks and beer geek beers. A bit of a trek from down town, in an industrial lot (right next to a cooperage it seems). Very tasty beers across the board (quite improved from Fall 2011). No real flights, but that wasn’t an issue. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that were very willing to converse about brewing. The near 60bbl foudres are quite impressive. Reasonable pricing and good beers. i hope to be back soon.

Hard to find, located in a set of shops. Great service. Very small place. Had about 8 beers on tap. Not a boozer, more focused and relaxed. Fun place.
