Visited the 13th December 2014 with friends. On the city center this small place is a craft beer reference in Budapest. Really crowded and a little bit noisy. This place is a mix of a shop and a beer tasting room. With 6 beers on tap and good craft beer reference. You can taste very nice beer with a good price. Staff is friendly and helpful. Really nice, a must to see in Budapest.

Been here about 6 times. Easy to find on a street parallel to the main ring road. Think plenty of quantities of good beer, which is the name of the place "Only the good beer". Armando is the main man here who serves up the beer and is super knowledgeable and quite a prolific brewer himself. Almost always quite full in the evenings but closes up before 10pm most nights. It’s a must to visit, drink and talk to Armando.

Probably the best place in Hungary and the surroundings. Tiny place with a few tables only, but 6 taps with excellent beers (one local, 5 foreign) which are replaced with different kegs as soon as one is empty. 3-400 bottles in the shop but many of them are in the fridge as well to drink immediately. Excellent selection of Belgian, German, Dutch, American beers, and about 30 different BrewDogs which is very rare. A few dosens of Hungarian beers only which is a bit cons but probably these are the best ones and they might concentrate on the quality not on the quantity. The bartender is also a brewmaster, very helpful and knows all the details of the beers in the shop.

Great beer shop with outstanding selections. When we visited they had 6 drafts with selections from Mikkeller, a few local IPAs and brewdog. Drank some great beers here and bought a few to take home. About 20 min walk from old town but well worth it. We found ourselves there on 3 occasions during a 3 day stop in Budapest. 300+ bottles to select from including the best from Europe, Mikkeller, de Molen, brewdog and some excellent Hungarian micros. Highly recommend

Nice little bottleshop/bar not far from the centre of Budapest. Very nice selection: De Molen, Mikkeller, Rogue, Rooie Dop, Belgian Micros .. Even saw Old Numbskull & Speedway Stout of Alesmith. The owner (very friendly & knowledgable guy) showed me some nice Hungarian craft beer: single hop IPAs, some stouts. I also met 2 guys of Eindhoven and had a very nice chat with them, too bad I couldn’t stay any longer. Overall a must stop place when in the neighbourhood.

Visited on a Friday afternoon last June 2014. Talked to the friendly owner/gypsy brewer and sampled the two self brewed beers from tap. Very nice selection of bottled beers, even one from a very small craft brwery in Gothenburg, Sweden, where I’ve interned during school (Beerbliotek), surprising! Nice, fast service, Nice slection of beers, not the cheapest place, but with so much imports of quality beers, if is to be expected. Also very close to the tram (no 4 and 6) as well as several other nice bars around, 2 others on the same street, as well as Hopfanatic very close by walking.
The owner pointed out that there was a Hungarian craft beer festival in the city, marked it on our map and was helpful, friendly and service minded. Very nice place that I’’ undoubtedly will return to if I find myself in Budapest again.
Actually more than a bottle shop where you can drink some cold beer from tap and a few of the bottles, than it is an actual bar. Never the less a nice place I can recommend to visit! Not an over abundance of domestic craft beers, but plenty of international/imported high quality craft beers on bottles, as well as some on tap.
Was one male and one female toilet available, none had TP or hand towels, but that could’ve been coincidence just this day.

Very small bottle shop with a few tables and chairs for drinking onsite. 6 beers on tap during my visit: only 1 Hungarian beer along with BrewDog, Rogue, and De Molen. The bottle selection was similar with a small number of Hungarian beers and mostly imports from the US and around Europe that can commonly be found in most decent bottle shops in Europe. Stuff like Belgian Trappists, common German beers, Rogue, Flying Dog, De Molen, BrewDog, etc. I would’ve liked to have seen more locals but I guess there’s not a lot of bottled craft Hungarian beers. Prices were a bit higher than other craft bars in the city. Probably the best shop in Hungary but pales in comparison to any great bottle shop in Europe.

I just returned from a 6 country beer tour of central Europe. This place was easily the best find of the trip (next closest of my tour places was maybe Omerta in Krakow or the Pilsner Urquell brewery in Pilzn). The people here are really great...and the craft beer selection amazing. I really enjoyed the feel of the place (like a college dorm room...in a very good way)...and how helpful the staff was. I only drank drafts while there...had 3 but they also gave me another 3 samples. They were trying to accomodate my US west coast hop passion...hard to do in Europe...but they succeeded. Unfortunately my travel schedule prevented my from getting into their bottle list. I recommend you visit this place at least twice while in Budapest. Note that it does close pretty early.
