Great place for food and beer. They always have a great selection of beers and the food here is awesome. Very reasonable prices as well. Large variety of beers to choose from and very interesting seasonal offerings. I love stopping in here for dinner and a brew.

Not huge but comfortable - seating and parking limited though. Nice selection of eclectic foods and nicely made beers. Service was great. Very pleased - will be back.

great place to sit outside during good weather if you can snag a seat. i have always found the service to be friendly and the food above average to really good. Unfortunately the beer is just "OK" - not my favorite - I think their execution is lacking/ inconsistent - but kudos for brewing their own beer - sometimes they have "guest beers" - I wish they had more - I cant find one "go-to" beer of theirs that I really like when I go there. but to be fair some folks really like their beer and to each their own. If we all liked the same beer there wouldnít be much variety.

Great micro brewed IPA here. Lots of flavor. Small but worth the effort.

I was quite looking forward to my first trip to Cumberland Brews. Iíd heard of the place for a long time, but had never been. I was, in particular, looking to try their Nitro Porter (and Iíd also heard very complimentary things regarding their food). Overall, I was rather disappointed. The food was a type of spring roll (stuffed with veal or lamb... itís been a few months) served with a cucumber sauce. The sauce was excellent,... the rolls were better than average. Nonetheless, I continue to hear good things about the food, so I will give the benefit of the doubt with my 7/10 rating. The service was prompt, knowledgeable, and kind. It was a little cramped, but that didnít bother me too much. However, the beer... that really let me down. The Nitro Porter certainly wasnít bad, but in the end it was not what Iíd anticipated. Left me wanting more. I tried the Brussels Bruge, and that was just bad. The body behind the beer seemed very solid, but there was this pervasive umami taste in the beer, reminiscent of dirt. I like a little mustiness in some beers, but this was just off. It seemed like a nice place, and I hope to give them another shot, but as it stands, I have to stick with this rather low score.

Located right on Bardstown Road in the Highlands, getting a table on the sidewalk would be key to enjoying the place. Beyond that itís a bit stuffy. Upstairs is great but rarely open and when open is generally full, maybe itís because downstairs is so cramped.
Their beer used to be really good before their old brewer left. Now the beer is reminiscent of water and line infection.
Food and service are good, about run of the mill for most brewpubs. Overall, if it were less cramp and the beer was a lot better, Iíd come back more often. But, as it sits, I make my trips sparingly.

somewhat small establishment with good service and decent beer. all of their offerings were written on a chalk board along with the abv, og, ibus. having the style on there too wouldíve been cool. some decent beers and some with off flavor problems.

Amazing microbrew selections which rotate biweekly. Their Bison burgers, for the price, are I believe the best in the city! Very friendly servers.
Some things to checkout: Thursdays special cask-conditioned ales which rotate weekly & daily quesadilla specials along with daily appetizer specials.
Definitely a Louisville Staple!
