Upscale restaurant a few miles inland from the ocean in Del Mar. Chris Smyczek offers excellent food, wine and beer in a white table cloth setting. Beers 5/07 included Port, Alpine, Stone, Alesmith, Avery, Flying Dog Gonzo, Youngs, North Coast (12 local bottles; 13 out of state and imports, no taps). His beer menu changes. Chris has done Stone and Belgian dinners with 40 or so people. He’ll eventually add a bar that will have a greater focus on beers. He’s all about educating people to food pairings.
