Nice little place with a nice beer menu and really nice sausages. Stiff prices on the beer thou. Even german beers u could drink alot cheaper. But they knew how to pair the food with the beer. Would come back to this place.

You walk in to an amazingly inviting smell of the grill into a nicely spaced out place with a great style of different wooden tables surrounded by different wooden chairs, with the bar and kitchen / open grill on one side. Beer fridges are on display with interesting and very varied selections. Prices are fairly high on some of the bottles, but it’s imports and local craft and there’s cheaper to be had on the more local stuff. Had a selection of sausages which were amazing, so tasty and pretty good value. A modern German take on food and beer. Very friendly and helpful service. Really enjoyed this place!

The first two things you might see when walking in: an open flame at the grill, and a wide and well-stocked beer fridge. You can buy bottles for takeaway; not cheap, but not crazy. However the prices for in-house drinking seem to be based on wine margins. Usually there are a couple of reasonably priced draught beers but otherwise you will be paying a lot for your craft variety. It’s a shame, because the food is pretty good, sometimes great. Some of it comes from real artisanal charcutiers. Portions are moderate, i.e. big enough. Have found the service to be better than average.

Classy scrubbed up restaurant with excellent food from soups and sandwiches to bigger stuff. The standard beer range is on the main menu but they have a pretty large stock of others on a special menu reserved for those who seem to know what they are doing. The downside to the list is that they stock a fair few of though new German craft beers that are conjured up to be highly priced and don’t deserve it. However, there are way more that are in the sensible range, from a cleverly chosen bunch of smaller older and newer brewers, including some of the new stars.

(Visited July 2014) Restaurant in a fairly calm area, centrally located. Focus is on sausages, bread and beer. Service is friendly and efficient. Food was good, but portions quite small (and prices a bit higher). The beer selection consisted of three or four taps of good quality and a good selection of bottled beers (and not the usual suspects). They’re available for take away as well. All in all quite a nice place with a good beer selection, but I can’t help feeling it’s a bit pretentious. Well worth a visit.

Just as the previous comment, probably the only place for having good beer in Berlin. Food is fantastic, service is good, ambiance too. A bit pricey, but worth it. Great selection. Many German micros, and many international beers.

The only place I have found where you can drink decent craft beer that is not German beer types. Almost only German micros of different types like Wedding, Braukunstkeller, Hopfenstopfer Maisel etc. Also some German micros on tap. Of course prices are high compared to other places in Berlin which serve Weissbier and similar, but in my opionon it is still good value for money. The food is great too, focusing on German cuisine with a modern touch. A must try is the sausages. Very friendly staff and the bar men knows everything about the beer they serve. I have visited the place on several occassions and every time I have been impressed by beer, food and service. By far the best craft beer place in central parts of Berlin, a must try.

Visited on an early Monday afternoon in September 2014. A pleasant and rather big place with outdoor and indoor seating. Nice selection of beers although expensive for being Germany. A 33cl bottle of Wedding Pale Ale cost 7.10 EUR. Good and friendly service. The Thüringer Bratwurst was tasty.

Lovely place near Gendarmenmarkt. Nice interior and tables outside in the summer. Good selection of German micros and food. Had a classic flammkuchen and a nice pale ale from Heidenpeters. Convenient location and friendly service. Recommended:

You will find this restaurant where the u-bahn stops almost right outside. Das Meisterstück has a warm and nice atmosphere. In general there’s a rustic feel inside with lots of wood and open flames, and with a visible kitchen. Eventually you discover that there’s also some odd things around as well. The restaurant focuses on typical German dishes with a modern twist, and has a strong focus on different types of sausage. Beer is also in focus and offers several craft beers from German micro breweries on tap, and with an otherwise rich beer meny. Unfortunately, they had a few of those beers that were on the menu. The restaurant is committed to combining foods and beers, and in the menu each dish is suggested a beer to match. The food was impeccable. A place that can be recommended for those who love real beer and food, but the restaurant should get a better track on the beer meny.
