A really unique place. Despite being located no too far from I-94, the location feels secluded and quiet. The tap room is very bare bones: thereís just a few just a few folding tables tables and a small bar set up for patrons. No wifi, no cell coverage, certainly no a/c or heating. The beers on offer arenít uniformly great, but theyíre never boring. Highlights of my cheap flight included a dark sour and a beer brewed with maple. All drinks are served by Dave, who seems like a real character. Overall, this place has personality in spades. Itís certainly worth a detour to check out.

Iíve probably driven past the Wilson exit 50 times since I first had a Daveís brew at Autumn brew review several years ago. Finally made it in and letís just say it wonít take me long to get back. I had no idea Dave was putting out such a large selection of brews and with unique ingredients and flavors at that. The brewing equipment that is visible from the tap room is minimal, and although they have more brewing equipment in a adjacent "barn" I am very impressed at the variety of beers that they are producing with such a small operation. That said, they are not currently distributing any packaged beer. Dave is a brewer with significant talent, and if he determines he can or wants to increase his scale, a top 5 Wisconsin brewer ranking is well within grasp if he hasnít already attained it.

When you go to Daveís Brew Farm, you join part of the family. This is the quintessential rural country gathering. You instantly become part of the family, and it is like a picnic, for everyone. Highly Recommend! Bring a dish to pass, be social, and enjoy great beer.

Great setting. It feels like rural Wisconsin but it is only a few miles off interstate 94. Indoor and outdoor seating, and on a nice day, I much prefer to be outside under the tent. Kids, dogs, skydivers dropping in for a beer (literally), and picnic lunches. This is important by the way. Bring food; everyone brings food. Dave is very knowledge about sour and wild beer, so you can talk about lambic, or his newest experiment. This is probably the most interesting, experimental brewery between Jolly Pumpkin and the West coast, and I canít think of anyone trying as many unusual creations anywhere. Eight beers to choose from, some are available to go, in liter bottles I believe. $5 for a ten oz pour, or 8 2oz samples for $10. Tick away.

Awesome setting, very friendly and very casual. Do not hesitate to bring your dog or food. Good beer at a good value. Fun place to visit.

Visited on a Saturday right after they opened. Parked on a small country road on a brisk Fall afternoon. Tasting/brewing room is spacious and full of tables and many bar stools. Dave and his partner are there pouring beers and it really feels like a family gathering. At first this seemed like we were a little out of the norm for the locals but they all made conversation and made us welcome. 8 beers on tap and a few pre-bottled growlers. Mostly lagers this Saturday and my main criticism was that there was very little diversity in the beers being served. That said, Dave was great to talk to and people kept offering us food they had brought. Great people and really make you feel at home. This is the Thanksgiving spot that is glamorized in numerous food magazines.

Just headed out for the first time, had 9 beers on tap and I enjoyed all of them. Had to switch one beer out while I was there, grabbed a couple growlers and glasses for later. A little more expensive, but you can bring your own stuff which is super cool. I will definitely be back to fill the growlers and spend a nice day outside at the farm.

What a great place!!! It is true that if you are not paying attention you will miss it! The tasting room is around back and has a some what homey feel. Place was packed when I was there and many had brought food for a picnic. 8 beers on tap plus a few more available in growlers/flip tops. Prices are a steal! Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely worth a stop even if it is a bit out of the way!

Trip with the girlfriend, her mother, and atom. Fun time with great weather. We had been wanting to make this trip for about a year now, and finally we made the executive decisions to make Sunday the day. About an hour out of St. Paul, with a quick stop at a gas station before getting there. Eight beers on tap with cans of select and bottles of matacabras available as well. Great deal for the amount of beer that you get. We had some great conversations with Dave and the other guests there. Wonderful time. The only thing that could make this better would be if there was a White Castle down the road so you can stop there after leaving.

This was a fun trip to make from the cities, about an hour from Minneapolis not far off 94. Fun beers on tap and it wasnít too crowded so we had some nice conversation with Dave. It was nice to sit out in the sun and also inside in the cool shade. Going to have to try and make it out more.
