I had enjoyed my visit to the Manhattan location a couple of years ago and was quite glad to stumble upon this one out of pure luck (had not noted the address down) while walking to the Gutter. The pub is quite beautiful, spacey with high ceilings, a very long bar, a nice quiet terrace in the back. On a Sunday evening, it was almost empty. The service was courteous and the patrons fitted the Williamsburgh young, hip, comfortable mold. The 15-20 taps made for a solid selection, though nothing extraordinary, similar to Barcade for instance whereas the bottle selection provides a little of everything at very reasonable prices. A bottle of HOTD Fred sells for 7$ and we got it for 6$ as the happy hour was ending. That’s the same price than stores! Good find for NYC.

Even though this place has been open for awhile, I only recently got myself down here. Located in a very bright location close to the Williamsburg waterfront, it looks shockingly similar inside to the Manhattan location, but manages to feel completely different. Very bright with an equally bright outdoor area in back. Friendly service and a solid tap list and whisky selection, this is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Brooklyn DBA is the upmarket brother of the Bowery one - expect toilets with a seat !!!
Decent selection on tap - largely east coast micros and a few others.
2 cask lines - maintained by Alex Hall so always in great nick, had one of his Wandering Star beers (Dark Mild) there on my last visit (March ’11).
Good vibe and friendly service - have visited by lunchtime (fairly quiet) and on a Saturday night when packed full.
Single room, wooden floors, courtyard at the rear.

A good beer bar with a decent ttap selection, but be warned, no food...but you’re here for beer. Friendly service, friendly clientele, average of 6$ a pint, half price on old kegs they want to finish. Visited during 1st Williamsburg Cask Ale Festival, Jan 10 2010.

Conveniently located near the Bedford subway station. Cosy pub, small-medium size, sits about 100 but with a lot of standing space because the tables are spread out. Nice patio in the back. They had 16 taps + 3 casks when I was there. Focus on NY craftbeers and east-coast in general with some classics and some interesting finds (small batches, one-offs, etc.). Defiants, Sly Fox, etc… Many beers I had never seen before. I had Defiant Oatmeal Stout on cask. The place felts more like friendly neighbourhood bar than the more trendy hipster hangout d.b.a. Manhattan location. I will go back there.

Visited on a Sunday, at the tail end of a cask fest they were having. By the time we got there, down to four casks - but what they had had was pretty cool. Beyond the cask selection, really nice tap and bottle list as well. Bar itself was pretty narrow and crowded, service a tad slow at the bar. Overall, cool neighborhood spot with a nice selection.

Went here for a cider tasting and really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Great space with a long bar area for locals to enjoy. Solid tap list.

Swung in here last weekend while taking a friend from out-of-town to see Williamsburg. It is a very solid place. Quite similar to the Manhattan version. The draft list was decent, nothing rare, but a nice broad spectrum. Rather empty at our time of visiting (right after dinner on a Saturday night). It wasn’t the right weather, but it looked like they had a nice patio here as well, which is generally my favorite part of the Manhattan version. I’d revisit, but only if in the area, it’s certainly not a destination establishment.

Visited with fellow RateBeerian on 5th July 2013. Spacious rectangular bar affording plenty of at-the-bar seating. Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere although pub was emptyish for a Friday night on account of regulars being away for extended Independence Day celebrations. I enjoyed Anchor Liberty ale amongst others from a fair range. I enjoyed the "Poboy catfish sliders" from an imaginative food menu prepared in the backyard of the pub. It was nice of the chef to come over to us and chat about their recipes, lovely touch. A good spot, I would happily return.
