An industrial spot with a small tasting room appended to the brewery. Seems like a pretty hit place with the locals. Small pours are available. Worth stopping in if you have the time, but probably not among the "must visit" places in DC.

Not crazy on a Sunday visit with only a few folks in the taproom having beers. It was cool to check out the facility and working space. A few of the core beers on tap along with the new Oskar Blues collaboration. Tasters available for a few bucks. Crowler fills here. I can only imagine how hectic it gets other times due to the popularity of the brewery.

Industrial place. They definitely push that vibe. Loud music, tons of people visiting on a Saturday for the free tour and tastings. Nothing new or special on offer, but still fun. Good pizza food truck outside.

Visited 14/02/15. Standard industrial park location thatís a decent hike from the rest of DCís attractions. Plenty of parking options are available. All visitors get coupons for a couple of sample pours. Pints, growlers, and swagís also available for purchase. My visit coincided with a brewery tour, so the place was rammed. Luckily, the staff was pretty organized and I never had to queue too long to get a beer etc. DC Brau doesnít churn out a lot of new ticks, so regional power raters probably wonít find new things to try. Still, itís worth it to re-visit the core offerings from this brewery. Overall, worth a stop if youíre in the area and have access to a car.

Located in an industrial park in NE DC -- not yet gentrified. Decor is cinder block moderne. Nice murals though. Two free tasters just for showing up. Good deal for some good beers.

Nice industrial brewery and tasting room. Plastered with stickers, music blaring, hipsters in full force. The beer is solid, though it isnít cheap.

Been a bunch of times and always enjoy visiting. Once you show your ID to the door person, you get 4 tickets good for a beer sample each. Around 1-2 oz per sample. They arenít able to serve pints yet, but Red Apron at Union Market is a short drive and usually has DC Brau if youíre looking to enjoy a glass. Prices are reasonable for growler fills and canned selections. Bunch of merchandise including glasses, shirts, hats, growlers. Usually a food truck outside for growler hours. Pretty easy to get canned Wings here. Iíve only driven as metro is quite a long walk. Ample parking, place can be easy to miss as thereís no signage out front of the shopping strip. Just drive down the alley to the right of the post office.
Returned on 4/12/2015. No more free tasters, but you can get 3-4 oz pours for $2 a piece, or three for $5. Pints also available now. Havenít seen their expanded space yet. Other than that, itís about the same as my previous visits. Pretty low-key on Sunday at opening with no more than 5-10 customers during my stay.

Very interesting tour. Was there shortly before the first tour at 1300. Not overly crowded and time for questions. Four free beers afterwards.
Things got a lot more crowded when people shoved up for the next tours, and we were still hanging out by the bar.
They make really nice brews like the Penn Quarter Porter and OTWOA. Last one was not on tap but was served as a courtesy for my long travel there:-)
Bought a six-pack and had a nice afternoon.
How can you rate a place like this? I would gladly go back, but off course the selection is not huge.

To be fair, DC Brau is a brewery, not a brewpub. Its still a fun place to visit, and if you like Ska music and beer together, they can put on a great party.
