Nice place, very friendly service, surprisingly good food, the house beers on tap are ok, not that special but the whole set up was very enjoyable.

Touristy area, but the terrace was somewhat empty. A quite nice location. 3 standard house beers with one seasonal avaiable at this moment. Beers were in good condition as such, but at the same time nothing that mindblowing, compared to many other Dutch brewers. Good thing is they have samplers. OK place, but once done, there are better places to hang around in the city.

A bit touristy but the two beers I had (Monnik Tripel and Witte Antonia) were in good condition and fairly tasty. Not the best brewery in Amsterdam, but itís not bad and itís worth popping in for a drink or two.

I like the feel and vibe of this place. Lots of wood with a big bar and plenty of seating.
Cooper kettles in the back. They were brewing and it smelly great! Only 3 house beers and 7 guest taps. The service was a little slow but friendly.

3 brews. Blond, Whit & Trippel. All good but not exceptional.

Quite spacious compared to most other bars in Amsterdam. I like the interior with a lot of wood. Not the fastest staff, but theyíre friendly and seemed to try as hard as they could. Good thing is that they have tasters: 4 of their own beers and you get some very tasty cheese with it as well. The bad thing is their beers arenít very good. Not bad, but kind of so so, just under 3.0 or thereabout. Not a bad beerlist either, so Iíd say itís worth a visit at least once.

No prices on taplist, no info on bottled presented and slow service by stressed out staff. I noticed one in the staff pouring up less beer in the glass than others.

Visited around 7.30pm on Thursday 25/09/14.
Old style cafe bar with brewkit on display in the corner after the bar.
The place was about 2/3rds full but fairly lively. Ken and I settled down at the bar.
Service was slowish but the one guy behind the bar was working flat out - not his fault.
They had 4 of their own beers on tap plus a couple of others from Belgium.
House beers were ok but nothing to seek out other than for ticks (hovering around the 3.0 mark for me).
In all a nice enough venue but not go to unless you are hunting down their own beers.

Spent an evening here with some colleagues, very spacious cafe for this part of Amsterdam (nieuwmarkt), tons of seating available spread out over 3 half floors. Slightly beat up looking bar, but it has a bit of vintage charm. It got progressively fuller as we sat there (from 7 to midnight) but was never crowded on a Friday night. Waitress was kind, efficient and knowledgeable. They had 4 of their beers on tap, nothing stellar but certainly drinkable. Prices were pretty hefty, at 6,50 a pint this may be the most expensive brewpub in Aídam. They had some typical Dutch pub grub that was decent as food. Would return if given the occasion.

Pleasant little Cafe bar close to Cafe de Engelbewaarder, so good to group up the both of them. Certainly open at 11:30 am for early tasters and I went for the tasting tray, which was good fun. The waitress was excellent, making sure I had exactly the beers that I wanted, no request was scorned, even suggesting the order I should try them in, she knows her stuff. Lovely sitting outside on a sunny lunchtime, itís busier here than the other side of the canal but not overly so.
