Located just off the Dam - this quaint store has an entire wall of glasses for sale behind the counter and beers lining the wood walls. Excellent selection of European beers. Stateside beers are also represented with a few specialties that Iíve not seen back home. Service is not necessary, but is offered. Prices are less that one would pay back in the States for similar Dutch products, so canít complain.

One of the best beer shops I have ever been in. Really, I was just thrilled to spend time in here. Prices are pretty damn fair and the selection is unreal. I bought so much beer here. Canít wait to return.

Got impressed by this shop when entering. Good looking, and really a lot of beers to chose from. Nice guy behind the bar. Ok prices, specially for a shop in the middle of a city like this.

Great selection of beers, I was happy as a kid in a candy store. Lots of beers that are quite hard to find at other places in The Netherlands, for OK prices. Expensive stuff is around of course, but it seems they offer value for money. The woman behind the counter was nice and helpful, and offered good advice. Will for sure go back when Iím visiting Amsterdam again.
Update: while revisiting during De Nederlandse Brettanomyces dagen -which was a great idea btw- it struck me how much the staff actually does for their customers. For this Iíve added a few points to service and overall, itís well deserved.

Been here once when I went to Amsterdam a few months back. Huge selection of beers from all over the world. Loads of lambics downstairs and the rest is upstairs. A bit expensive, I bought a bottle of Westy 12 for 14 euroís. Loads of glassware and gadgets are also present in the shop.

Located just behind the Dam Square, youíll find this lovely beer shop.
An entrance with lots of crates and big bottles, lots of glassware behind the counter and some shirts on the right site (and lots of other beer items that covers the place)
Downstairs youíll find some Lambic. Upstairs all the other styles from countries all over the world.
A very good selection en good prices! Some of the more exclusive brews for a bit more money, but most of the beers are pretty normal priced.
Been here twice, first time a helpful lady was running the place, second time the owner was behind the counter and we were possible to have a nice but quick chat with him.
He told me the most expensive bottle they had was a Crianza Helena for 40 Euro, behind the counter. Got one bottle of the World Wide Stout 2003 for 13 Euro.
A pity I had only 2 bags with me (one filled with goodies from the Cracked Kettle)Ö So I couldnít go all the way. Will go back for sure!
Whenever youíre in Amsterdam, this is another must visit! You will succeed for sure!
