10 minutes walk from the Tower of London across the Tower Bridge, this small traditional wooden pub offers a nice selection of circa 10 kegs and 10 casks. Selection is mostly UK craft and not necessairily obscure beers, but also brew (contract brew?) some own beers, so will always find a couple ticks. Donít do thirds.

Small, foody place, quite open plan and modern. Interesting enough beer range, quality as good.

Visited on Saturday 03/01/15 around 3.30pm.
Street corner local, pretty small and very much a gastropub, the place was pretty rammed even at a post lunch period and was full of folks chowing down.
We stood around a pillar near the bar and got to work with our beers.
3 cask lines, 10 keg lines and a decent enough bottle list to boot.
Beer choices were ok, decent range of styles on offer, service was prompt - plenty of bodies behind the bar.
Overall a solid stop, 5 years ago Iíd have come here regularly, in London 2015 I canít see myself heading here unless I happended to be in the area but worth noting you can reach this venue in not much more than a 5 minute walk from the northern most Bermondsey railway arch brewery.

Rating 62 Oct í14. Revisited this side street pub just off Tower Bridge, not so friendly on this occasion and very few customers to boot. They appear to be trying for a more up market feel than previous. We will still go back, but not with quite the same enthusiasm.
Rating 70 Feb í12. Really friendly pub off the main area around Tower Bridge. The staff were really happy and welcoming. There is a small range of well kept beers to try. A really pleasant pub to visit.

Was pretty bored and walking over Tower Bridge so figured I would stop by here for a drink. Super close to Tower Bridge on the opposite side to the city. Very close to Draft House. Anyway the service was great, very efficient and chatty. Selection was quite good. A good and varied range of everything, mainly local. Quite expensive though. Almost 7 quid for a pint of Kernel. Besides that the place is good for a quick stop

A cozy brown pub. The service was pleasant - the waitor had something calming and relaxing over him. The selection was good but not great. There was a little Kernel, Dark Star and Moor and a few rare beers as well.

We (me & Loz) visited here on Saturday 17th August, quite surprised that I have failed to visit here previously as it is certainly somewhere that can be taken in when visiting Kernel, Partizan and now Brew by Numbers on a Saturday, which incidentally we did today (visited all three) Back to the Dean Swift though. It is located on a side street in a mainly residential area a short walk from Tower Bridge. Inside the bar seating area is rectangular with the bar off to the left and rear as you enter. It is quite smart with a slightly classy feel about it. The lady who served was pleasant but I got the impression that I wasnít going to get a great deal of friendly banter from her. One downside was the TV screnn with every customer coming in after us asking if it was going to show the Liverpool game, thankfully due to some BT subscription issue the games wasnít going to be shown. I had a Signature Brew, Dry The River, Mammoth beer which was very nice, rather pleasing as it cost me £6 for the bottle, Loz had a Weird Beard 5 a Clock Shadow on tap. We just stayed for the one before heading off to the three Bermondsey breweries. I guess that I will likely return here again if in the area, the beer choice was pretty good, just wish it had a friendlier more accomodating feel about it, it just felt a little sterile.
