72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 StewardofGondor (122) Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin | June 9, 2005 Nice, spacious place. Got the beer sampler (came with 7 samples?) and a really fresh pizza, with artichoke hearts on it. Uncrowded on a Satruday night and didn’t have to wait. Loved the hefe. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 badgerben (81) Blaine, Minnesota | April 23, 2005 Very cavernous building with plenty of room. It’s too new to have much character built up, but I’m here for the beer. The beer was a bit of a let down for me, but still above average. Their staple line is a range from "No Thanks" to "Two More Please!". The seasonals also appear to be above average. The Cajun Burger I had was knock out. Definitely worth a stop. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 muzzlehatch (255) Burlington, Vermont | December 10, 2004 I’ve visited a couple of times since early 2003. From the outside, it’s nothing special, and the inside is fairly typical for newer large brewpubs, clean and breweriana-oriented with sort of a NW lodge look -- nice patio for warm weather though there’s nothing much to look at. Food --think I had a fish sandwich-- was good but the beer is the star: high-grav beers like the IIPA, Train Wreck and Okauchee Scotchie are top-notch, and the other stuff is all above average. Much better IMHO than any of the brewpubs in the cities it lies between (Milwaukee and Madison). | 82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 Syd (26) Waconia, Minnesota | November 26, 2004 The beers are above average. The staff is quite friendly, however our cute waitress was not real beer savy. It’s a good place for kids as they have a kids menu. The food was really quite good. I had the Blue Burger that was quite nice. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 CaptainCougar (142) Columbia, Maryland | September 13, 2004 Has a very nice selection of well made beers. Haven’t tried the food, but the menu looked pretty extensive. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Pjones6738 (25) Madison, Wisconsin | February 11, 2004 I've hit this place a few times. The beers I've had there have been pretty good, employees are friendly. Your placemat is a guide to the brewing equipment, which is pretty cool. The selection of beer seems to turn over frequently. |
